modelcrazy Here it is Aaron. Its a 1/700 Hornet. I'll probably do a water base and display it with the B-25's. I't going to be a trick to get her done by the end of Jan.

I'll be pulling up a chair for this one. I take it this will be full hull without your magic water effects.

Alright, I'm in. Put me down for a 1/48 Curtiss Hawk 75 in French service. It's the old Hobbycraft kit. Apparently I'm on a CUrtiss kick lately.
-BD-
I'll give it a shot. Put me down for the AMK 1/48 Kfir. Probably the C2 version OOB unless I add some extra bombs and stuff.
Okay, okay, I will throw my model into the ring. I have Revell ' s First Order TIE fighter from The Force Awakens. It's a snap tite max kit that I got on clearance.

Thanks for the replay Mr. Skinner. Nothing in my area, sigh the drought continues.....
Cheers

The oxen are slow but the Earth is patient.
It has been some time since I took part in a group build, but I am up for this one. I have a Fort Royal Review 120mm German WWI Stormtrooper that needs to be built, and maybe this will motivate me to finish it by the end of January.
I plan on building a Revell easy kit Darth Vader TIE advance for the Star Wars group build, but I also want to build an MPC Return of the Jedi A-Wing fighter. I will build that one for this group build. I built one long ago in a galaxy far away in 1983, the summer between my freshman and sophomore year in college.
Morning all, and Happy New year's Eve... Just saw this, great idea! I'd like to enter with a FUJIMI 1\48 FW 190D-9. Pretty much OOB, haven't decided on staffel yet or other markings. Question, are we doing wip, or just the end results? Thanks and a happy and prosporus NewYear to all...

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
So, its just gone midnight here is old bligty. the Mrs went to bed early as she is working all day and has to sleep out tomorrow night, and its meant to be raining all day.
So, i ask myself. I have the house to myself, the weather is lousy and there nothing to do around the house, so how will i spend the day.
I know, i can spend it at the bench building an Imperial Shuttle.
I know, what hardships we must face
I am going to work on the pit tonight, theres not a lot to that. Then tomorrow i can prime then paint it and in the meantime work on the rest of the kit.
And a happy 2017 to you all.
Happy new year Bish. I built kit years ago after ep 6. I don't recall much about it though.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

From what i can see, looks like it needs a bit of cleaning up, like the U-Boat, seems to be some flash. But it looks like it will go together pretty quickly, but we will see.
Well, It's 1-1-2017 1:09 am here.
Question, I'ver been having some problems with mold release (I think) Should I leave the model parts soak ? if so for how long? Over night? I don't know how to scrub the little tiny parts.
0300 here in Ohio, happy new year, everyone....managed to get two bags of sprues open before tragedy struck and I somehow stab my index finger with the dull blade! Of course, I got vital fluids on one of the fuselage halves before I notice I'd been wounded in battle. Here's a few pics I've taken so far...
(Note: PhotoBucket keeps getting to be more of a pain is the *** to use. This may be my last GB.)
Now I'm off to see the sani......

Hi Aaron, if there is any space left in this GB please sign me up with a 1/72 Airfix Sea Hurricane. Will be out the box build in the colours of the FAA Ops Tourch.
Thanx

Hi all, It's now 12:52 pm You may think I just wasted 13 hours of build time, but I know better when to touch my builds and when not to. I had a long day yesterday, So, I'll get the camera ready and get the kitchen table cleared off in a little bit and get couple of pics for you all to see.
Cracked open the BUFF this morning. Nice kit, but lacking in a lot of detail, but to be expected in this scale. Painting the office and pit floor/seats today. Dry fitted the fuselage halves, virtually no gaps, and not much flash on parts I've looked at so far.
Will be doing her as a ceiling hanger so gear and flaps will be up and stowed. While not done on the "H's", will be done in SEA camo as a reminder of my days way back when.
Pics as I get a little further along.

OK...bleeding has been stopped! I've gotten a lil time to put landing gear together and throw a bit a zinc chromate on `em.
I'm in... I have the Moebius Voyager kit (Fantastic Voyage TV version). Gonna try and make it more for which is was inteneted, with a twist. At least in movie the vessel used was intended to be deep sea research.... So its going to be a U.S. Navy craft part of the Combind Miniature Defense Force
Please excuse the crudity of this model,... I didn't have time to build it to scale or paint it...
well this is the Trumpeter SU-34 1:144 opened and ready to start
guess I will need to work on the photo skills. Although I did allow the host site to resize the images... could have been an issue. Also I need to sort out how to put the date on my camera... always have to do 3 things before I can do something
plan will be to wash and do step 1 tomorrow yadda yadda yadda completed project by the end of Janurary
EDIT - well I sorted some things out with the camera and I am where I am with that
Go Titans!
Howdy All,
Now that I have cleaned up the fireworks mess from last night, I started the build today by performing the ritualistic cleansing of all the parts. They are now airdrying.
Now waiting for the mail to deliver my needed paint colors. This is my first start in many many years so I have to rebuild the supplies from scratch!
Good luck to everyone on day one!
So i got the cockpit done last night. I had a grueling time removing all the parts and cleaning them up. But after a whole 5 mins both parts of the pit were together. Today i was able to get it primed and painted and started on the detail painting. I still have the switches gauges dials and screens to do.
And today i also got the body and lower wings together. Not all that many parts, but quite a bit to do. Lots of flash on this, must be my time for it, the Revell U-Boat i was working on last week had a lot of flash as well.
Before i go any further i will spend some time cleaning up the seams.
Thats all for now, more soon.
I got started on mine today as well!

And today's progress...
I was hoping to have gotten further today, as I was expecting to have a nice lazy day, but the wife and kids wanted to go see Rogue One,.....

modelcrazy pyrman64 (Note: PhotoBucket keeps getting to be more of a pain is the *** to use. This may be my last GB.) Take a look at Imageshack. It does cost but I have never had any problems with it, and certainly never any adds or pop-ups.

Got a lot of the chassis done today. have to decide on how to adjust the height on the wheels for uneve terrain as i will have to cut the shocks and add or subtract parts. then again doubt anyone would miss them after it is all together. will paint the chassis engine gray and wash and weather it darker since it is suppose to be black.
given the engine compartmrnt is open in the back and there is no engine, i ordered a MENG Russian V-84 tank engine. should look close enough, if not i will have a roll up tarp hanging down.
unsure on the top. may camo it or paint it red or a medium blue with white fenders like German THW emergency vehicles. will add something to the cargo area: drums, boxes, etc. that will impact whether this stays military or goes civilian. i do not think it is big enough for a conex. guess i could always build a cage and put a velociraptor in it.
