Jumped the gun a touch last night, put on the decals outlineing the window cutouts for the O2-A. will get them drilled out today, and start fitting those windows. Pics in a couple of days.
G'day Tony, no worries mate I got you on the roster :-)
Great , it is open to all ....start your (multi) engines!
I will get to my B-17 within the next few weeks, deadlines at work :-(
Theuns
I'lll start on my 1/72 AC-130H Spectre tomorrow. It's been a while since I've done a C-130, or a prop plane for that matter.
Hi Theuns,
It's the 1st March here, so it seems like a good time to join. I have a Hobby Boss 1/72 Dornier 335. The parts are off the sprue, but I think it's unstarted other than that. I'm thinking of using some post war French markings that I have.
Can I enter that please ?
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
"Multi props are GO!"
Indeed, it will open on the 1st of March 17 so get your sprue cutters idling ;-)
So are we calling this one a go? I've got an AC-130H Spectre I'm chomping at the bit to start, lol.
The modeling club in the next town over is moving it's meeting to the veterans home where I live. Only about 3 miles from me insted of 20. They will start there on March 2nd, just in time to start on this GB, so that is where most of the build will take place. Added bonus, they are starting to get the Vietnam vets in now, so the era will fit right in.
I in a way grew up with the C-130's. They've been flying in and out of the local air force base since 1971. That is however coming to an end this year. At least one of the eight we had is already gone. It seems they are slowly going to disapear and I will be none the wiser. I thought they might give the community a chance to say farewell, but I guess not.
Cool, got you on the roster for a "See One Thirsty" ;-)
As an ex Loadmaster in The SAAF I have a soft spot for a 130, but out of a practical standpoint the Transall 160 (except for the less power) was a far better cargo bush plane. Easier to load, no large wheelwells stricking out inside the bay and if you deploy the divebrakes a 160 could almost stand on it's nose @ 14000'/min decend!
B_one fixer Put me down with a 1/72 C-130J by testors. This one should be pretty easy to complete.....I think.

Oh Yea, my favorite plane! I have "Fat Albert" and the AC-130H Spectre in the stash. I'm guessing that even though it's boxed by Testors it says Italeri somewhere. I've done 3 Italeri C-130's and they've all built up really nicely.
Ooh I ilke the one with the Bear :-)
Nice
Had some time on my lunch hour today . . .
Chris
Yes please do and post it :-)
I can put a grpup name on it
]
Or even this one if you could put a name in it....I recon the Bear was the ultimate propeller plane :-)
I am slightly biass to the Shaccleton in my first pic but the Bear might appeal to a bigger group :-)
Of your pix I like the second one of the "homebuilt" the most.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Great lewbud I got you up.
I propose something like this for a badge -
If someone more clever than I am can insert a GB name in the pic....
I'm in. Airfix's 1/72 A-26 as a tanker (water bomber).
Buddy- Those who say there are no stupid questions have never worked in customer service.
Hey Chris, got you up :-)
Hey Theuns,
Sounds good - count me in with this 1/72 Airfix Bristol Blenheim Mk. I.
Hopefully I can finish her up in the 3-month window.
Hmm, I'll take a look but I'm pretty booked right now.
Done ;-)
I'm in. Monogram 1/72 F-82 Twin Mustang
Nice I will put you on the roster.
Yes. Have looked it over, can be built as an O2A or O2B. The A has more windows on the lower right fuselage. The B is more visually like the civilian version. Have always loved the old mixmaster. Hoping the Roden 1/32 comes out sometime soon, was supposed to be out around October.
Is that the 1/48 O-2? I heard it is actually a really nice kit.
