I'm in for one more bird for this GB.  This one is definitely a "too little too late" kind of aircraft.  I dont understand the need to allocate any resources to this version of the 262 since the Ar 234 was already a decent/functional jet bomber.  Oh well, heres my next contribution.

This is the Hobby Boss 1/48 Me 262 A-2a/U2.  Surface details are fine and well molded.  After doing a dry-fitting, it looks like the fit and finish of the fuselage and wing roots should be nice.

Looks great!  I finished one of these earlier this year and loved it.  Wish I would have thought about the screws around the torpedo seams!

i finnaly picked up some primer i needed. so shes primed and my messed scibed lines really showed up. so im working on that now and hoping to paint tomorrow. im really surprised th 2017-08-27_01-28-55 by Jerry Richards, on Flickrere wasent more 2017-08-27_01-48-40 by Jerry Richards, on Flickr.

As for the torpedo I'm going to try and put some screw heads around the seems just using my rivet tool. Keep it steel and then on the dark parts paint over it with a diluted gun metal so the steel is visable underneath.

Please put me down for another kit too!  I have the Hobby Boss 1/48 Me 262 A-2a/U2 sitting in my stash and I think this would be a perfect opportunity to build it!

I was hoping i could fit in a 72nd Ar234, but i just won't have time. But i will be doing the Hasegawa 1/32nd Fw190D-9 as the second 32nd kit in my Hans Rudel build. So stick me down for that one Joe. Should be able to start that in Oct.

Armor_Aficionado

I'm going to start out by doing the 1/72 Me-163 Komet by Heller.  If I still have time after that, I'll also do the P.1101 by DML.

Been out sick for a few days but am glad to be back and in the swing of things.

Armor_Aficionado: Glad to have you on board and am looking forward to your take on this beauty of an aircraft. I'll get you entered in on the intro thread pal.

jgeratic: Jack........Jack..........JACK!! I just simply do not know what to say man. I mean I'm at a total loss for words. If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times......how you guys can build these 72nd scale builds and pass 'em off as the real thing is just beyond me. Bravo my man!!! Bravo!!!!! Will you hang around for another?

Thanks TJ - everyone should try one.  The single colour scheme is simple, but looks great at the same time.

Thanks for that link jack. I had not done any research on those subjects yet, but not sure i would have found those. Those differances can certainly be corrected without any major issues.

I do have to wounder where decal companies get their info from.

Hi Andy - thanks!

Front page photo can be moderator's choice, but I suppose pic no.7 is the standard for display there?

Hi Chad , thanks kindly.

-------------------------------

Bish, right I've seen that decal set and have to agree these are nice choices.  Best part is they are all G-10 machines.  Btw, the top profile (#43) I found four photos of it here:

http://falkeeins.blogspot.ca/2013/05/messerschmitt-bf-109-g-10-of-5njg-11.html

Seems to be some detail differences though.  White spiral on prop nose, standard balkenkreuz on the underwings, no white rudder, and some shape/size differences for the fuslelage markings.  Anyhow, these photos are what gave me the idea to add the black strip to the wing roots, but going by H-Models, this wasn't standard?

regards,

Jack

No, its one of the other sets, 72057.

I originaly just wanted to do an all blue one, but i like the bottom one as well. Apar from what you can see, it has 75/82 on the wings. So i figure i might as well get at least 2 builds out of this decal sheet. Usually i get one and the rest go to spares. So i'll end up doing White 43 and 57.
