waggish thank you. part of this hobby for me is have the tools and supplys. then I end up with all these different products that do the same thing. some of the best products are the ones that have been around forever.

bish thank you. yes this kit came with the torpedo. I also have a Dragon version of it also. so there are at least 2 company's masking it. also both company's have a FW-190D with torpedo in the kit.

as for war time use the TA version was just on paper. I don't know if the 190d ever got used ?

Yep! Vallejo RLM 81. Airbrush is Iwata HP-C Plus, compressor is a no-name brand compressor attached to a 1.5 gallon tank. 

thanks jack I had to thin the paint a bit and the model master is already thin enough to spray. even though i was spraying at 30 psi to blow past the dry tip issues i was getting water only at times. the only reason i can think of was the minute  movements i was pulling the trigger back ?  idk next time ill ad another water trap at the gun.

I have the Dragon 72nd 152H, i like the long winged versions, but don't have a C yet. But your build has given me an idea. I have a 190D-12 that i was not sure how to display. On checking i have found there was to be a torpedo carrying version, so i think i will do that. Thats version Dragon does in 48th and no, it never made it into service.

very nice thank you I have that 1 on my list. I'm using there hp-bcs overall good brush but i would like to have the finner detail of the hp-c pluss it really shows on your build. there guns are built so nice when my other guns are figitty the iwata always seem to work.

bish im sure some one makes a resin 72 torpedo. or Maybe 1 of those kits that have all the different ordnance.

the long wing 152-H version has managed to evade my stash. I mostly buy when somthing is on sale. i really would like to have the zoukei-mura 1/48. the only thing is there so much interior work on that i wouldent know how to show it. i like my aircraft buttuned up. man but it looks so nice. i have yet to get 1 of there kits.

I have a few spare torpedo's so would have no problem there.

I am the same in that i like my aircraft closed up. Thats what has put me off getting the ZM 32nd Ho 229. Paying all that money for stuff i won't see doesn't make sense. I have hoped someone else would jump in with more sensible versions of those ZM kits.

its like the me-262 im working on it has full ribs in the fuselage even has radios and oxygen tanks. i think i may just leave them out of the build wich is a shame. normally I paint and detail everything even if you can't see it. so this will be a first.

Wow, I really am sorely disappointed in the fit quality of this kit.  

This is my first Revell of Germany kit; hope they're not all this bad.  The cockpit and most of the fuselage went together okay, but couldn't get the nose to fit on well at all.  The wings themselves were no problem, but then they're supposed to be joined to the fuselage, and that's where the nightmare really begins!  The wings are supposed to fit flush to the fuselage, but look at the gaps as seen in the photos.  Complete crap!  This is going to take an ocean of filler putty to fill, during which I'll probably mar a lot of the fine surface details which were molded into it, so it'll end up looking like crap.  And the wing tabs weren't even consistent: on the right side the wing fit onto the connecting tabs with no problem, but on the left side, one tab was properly sized, while the other was so oversize it required much sanding and shaving down with a razor blade.  Not a happy camper right now!

Yep those are some pretty big canyons...er I mean gaps you have there Armor. Just be patient and tackle them one at a time.

Armor, too bad those gaps weren't noticed during the test fit stage.  You still might be able to slip some plastic sheet in there.  Otherwise, lay some masking tape along the both sides (to protect the engraved detail) before slathering on the puty.

I have been able to make a small start on the Fw 190D while i have had to put the Stuka ashide to dry.

This is the kit.

Among the AM are resin pit and wheel wells from Aires, and i started with those. Whe wells were fitted and painted and just need some washes and dry brushing.

And the pit was put together, painted and weathered. Just need to add some final details.

And thats all for now. I should be able to get a bit more done this week as i have more drying time on the stuka.

Can't wait to see this pit come together

bish looks like norm for your work. your weatheringand detail is always so good. I need to get over to your Sitka site. I haven't seen it pop up. or I just keep missing it.

as for my family during ww2 my dad served in seabeez. and we lost 2 family members in aircraft. B-24 and a TBM.

but no one to the Nazi occupation so it never has touched me before about the swastikas on my models until I read this post a few days ago. but I fully understand how this bent cross can effect people. when I was building models 30 yrs ago all Luftwaffe models had them in the kits.
