Steve your butcher bird looks excellent. Very nice painting and finishing. You showed grace under pressure with all those troubles.
Excellent looking 190 Steve, as always. Nice start too Dwayne.
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
Looks great Steve! Looking at it I'd never be able to tell you had so many problems.
Dwayne, nice work on that cockpit! The IP decal looks pretty good to me.
Life has gotten in the way and I haven't had much time to get paint on my 109.
On my bench: Academy 1/35 UH-60L Black Hawk
Very nice start Dwayne!

Wow Steve, that looks amazing. That is a great looking AC and nice fix on the decals. I really need to build a 190. Well done.

Steve, your 190 looks really good to me! Painting and weathering are excellent!
So real life has kept me from the bench for a while, but I finally got some time to work on the 109. Not used to working with 1/72 scale. Got the cockpit mostly done. Just a little touch up here and there. This kit comes with decal seat belts, and I like them. Decal for the IP as well.

Should be able to close up the fuselage pretty soon.
Dwayne or Dman or just D. All comments are welcome on my builds.
Glad to have you aboard Kostas!
Steve, despite the problems you ran into that 190 came out really nice! Thanks for a great addition to the GB!
I finally completed Hinrich Bar's A-8, Red 13. The kit (Academy) went together well but I had a hard time with the decals. After destroying a couple because I used thin glue instead of setting solution by mistake, I found some replacements. The decals kept coming off and were difficult to keep on until I could get a flat coat on everything. One of the landing gear broke off and I reinstalled it using a piece of wire as a pin but was still having a very difficult time getting it to dry correctly. I finally finished everything without breaking anything else long enough to take some pictures. The decals have some silvering but considering everything else this has gone through, that's minor.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Hi everybody and thumps up for all the great kits of this GB, up to now. I know I'm a bit late but I would like to join in with Eduard's FW-190 A-8 (Weekend Edition) in 1:48. I have this in the stash for a long time and it's begging to be mistreated properly.
Markings will be for a JG.27 bird, rushed to France in June 1944, in order to fight the Normandy landings (with bombs, rockets, etc)
Cheers, Kostas
Great job Doug! I love the weathering, looks like a well-used bird.
I can't wait to see what you put together Lost
Well done, Doug. That is one outstanding build. Superior work!!
Welcome aboard lost, I've got you added to the roster! Looking forward to seeing it come together!
Doug, lovely finish there and looks great on the base.
Looking forward top seeing the U-Boat.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Doug, your 190 looks perfect. Really good job on that one.
LA, I've just had a recurrence of my 'Volkswagen at war' obsession, after a respite of about 20 years. Now you've gone and posted a photo of one, which isnt helping.
Doug,
that is a beautiful result there, very well done. Nice painting and weathering, been watching this develop recently.
Rooster, I would like to join this GB with a build of Tamiya's 190 D-9, with a volkswagen in there too:
Doug, incredibly well done!! Painting and weathering are exceptional!
Geewiz Doug, that looks awesome!

On deck: Who knows!
Doug, that looks awesome - great job!

Doug that is really nice! I like how the decals blend seamlessly with the paint. That's something I struggle with sometime. That's for another great addition and you are always welcome back with another if you have time! Great build!
Thanks Bish! Thanks Andy... Very much appreciated!
OK... I think I'll call mine done. 1 Problem, I don't have any more gun barrels for the wing guns. Thought I still had a set but ...no. I've ordered a set and will install when they arrive, but until then I just have something to use as locating pins installed. So... Having that said, Heres the finished pics...
Well, thats all for now. As always, the finished pic choice is yours, and as always, thanks for a great build subject, and for running a great group build! I would love to do another, but right now , I'm studying a 1/72 Type IX U Boat and will dig in shortly. I received all the additional items I think it will need and it will likely take up most of my building time for awhile. But Thanks again Andy! If I can finish the U Boat and its dio before this build ends, maybe You'll allow me another, being my two favorite modeling subjects ! Take care all! Keep up the amazing work...

Thats looking really nice Doug, lovely finish.
Man that's looks great Doug! Looking forward the completed pics!
Afternoon everyone! Got some more done on mine...
Got the canopy unmasked and cleaned up, and hung the bombs and the fuel tank.
Antenna attached, prop mounted and fiddly parts installed.
And the next ones will likely be the finished pics. I'm going to make an easy and quick little base for it to sit on and that will be about it... Thanks for looking and I'll be back in a day or so with the compleated pics! Take care all!
It’s for a good cause!
Mopar Madness Steve, I have plenty of 1/72 swastikas and balkenkreuz. If you don’t find any back home just let me know what you need.

I took a look at my decal stash but alas not German markings I asked the three kits I had, one was a 1/48 FW 190, one was a 1/48 HS-129 and the thire was a 1/72 HE-111. The 111 volunteered.
Andy... Yes sir, free hand, airbrushed, 3 colors, red brown, drk brown and smoke, allthinned about 75% thinner to 25 % paint.
D man... Thanks for the kind words!
Doug, the painting and weathering on that 190 are top notch!
Looks really nice Doug! I love those exhaust stains. Did you do them with an airbrush?
Man...Thank you one and all! OK, so, we're at my favorite time of the build. Tha weathering and such...
Start with a little exhaust staining...
Some light oil streaking... and what I've been trying lately is to mix up some Tamiya "Smoke" paint and going over each rivit line with the air brush, instead of panel line washing. With me, it depends on the look I want.
I'm also going (lightly) over the white on the markings to age them and tone down the white a bit.
And thats about it for now... Fiddly parts and touch up next. Back in a bit! Take care all!
Nice mottling Doug!
Glad you saved her Steve!
