Brandon, that is an interesting take on a captured bird, not familiar to me but excellent execution.
Chad, again another fine example of an out of the norm scheme seen with the Luftwaffe. Great job with those colours.

Jack
Thank you guys!

You all are doing some amazing work.
Let's go with the first pic for the front.
Chad - that camo came out GREAT! I really like that. So much I am wanting to buy the kit now just to have a crack at it, but I REALLY don't need it, so maybe I'll just come back and admire your work some more.
Thank guys! Blackdog, I used Mission Models paints and am really liking them! I'll add some white to the RLM75 next time though as it came out very dark, especially after the weathering.
jgeratic Andy, great looking finish on your 190A-8. Did you lose the wing cannons, or did I miss what happened to them? regards, Jack
Andy, great looking finish on your 190A-8.
Did you lose the wing cannons, or did I miss what happened to them?
Just noticed this myself yesterday! In my haste to get it done I forgot to put them in lol. I'll get them added and take a new pic for the front. Thanks for the heads up Jack!
Rooster another great looking build. Your paint looks to be laying down so nicely.
Thanks guys!
Andy - Those early Eduard 190’s can be pretty finicky but yours looks awesome!
Andy, thats come out very well. The silvering doesn't stand out that much, i can just see small spots on the top wing crosses in one pic.
Chad, awsome job on that scheme, thats come out great.
Well I finally finished my Eduard 190 A-8 over the weekend. I added an aerial wire to the inside of the canopy (in the process of that I got a nice spot of CA glue on it) and I like how it looks. The wing crosses are another story. This is the 2nd build in a row that I had trouble with silvering on the crosses and I thought I did a better job of getting all the air out from under them. Scoring the decal and applying solvaset helped some but it's still pretty noticeable. I may go back and paint in the offending areas but for now I just wanted to move on. Anyway here are the completed pics...
After the failure of the wing crosses (again:) ), I decided to see if I couldn't improve my stencil applying skills using my paint/decal mule. I used solvaset in place of the microset I would normally put under the decal and then applied more solvaset on top after if was in place. After allowing the decals to dry I applied future over the top and around the edges. After this dried I wet sanded and repeated the the application of future and wet sanded again. This seemed to do the trick and I'm very happy with how it turned out. I'm hoping I can put this formula to work on my next build, which is yet another Fw190. Here is a pic of the stencil result...
Comments and critiques welcome!
Toshi and Chad, those both look great!
Mopar your building looks really nice loveing the camo its fun to find Luftwaffe with more than just shades of gray. Even the small paint such as your wheel struts is amazing.
Howdy friends. Another quick update. The camouflage is down and the masking is up! Fortunately, all went well. This was my first time using Mr. Hobby Aqueous colors per the Eduard color guide. Wow, what a difference they make when it comes to painting camouflage patterns! So incredibly smooth. I’m sure they will perform just as well when it comes to mottling. Some bits and pieces have been painted and I believe I’m in the homestretch. Thank you for looking!
Looks like your close to the finish line!
Here is more progress to what has been done thus far.
