I got to this point on my restart...I noticed that I had the same fitting issues as I did on the first kit. I don't know if it is due to the tooling or something else.

I had this same issue on the first kit. I will need to apply putty with a toothpick and then sand it down to look correct.

The pit...simple and straightforward.

LOL....I know what you're saying. I was at work when this took place, and my wife and sister in-law were busy talking when she was in my modeling area when she spread her wings and took it out for a spin.

Was the pilot able to "hit the silk"  in time ?

LOL...I sure hope so LT. She was like King Kong with it.

Steve,

Beautiful work on the F-5...I am definitely going to pick one of those up. I am always amazed how well you do on the smaller scale kits. Great job sir!!

68GT,

I went through my stash and found a duplicate of my original kit...so no changes, just starting over Big Smile

Thats stinks about the kit but it's wonderfull you were able to handle it they way you did.  I'm sure we will be here a while so whenever you get something you can just jump right in.

Hello all,

A lot of great work going on here. Well, I have to start on a new kit. While I was working an extra rotation at the fire station, my little niece Sierra deceided to take my build for a flight in the backyard. And let's just say I will have to take it to the plastic "ER". When she explained it to me (she's 5 years old)...I couldn't help but have a big smile and laugh. I told her I would let her have the one I finish so she could play with it.

68GT...I will let you know tomorrow what I dug out of the stash.

Each county here in NJ does things a little different.  I live in Middlesex County and its 1 day or 1 trial every 3 years.  I work in Somerset County and they have to check in each day for a week to see if their number is called.

It's taken me a few weeks to decide on what I will build for this GB. When the Gloster Meteor F Mk 1 was introduced to service in 1944, it was used to intercept V1 Flying Bombs over England. I will build the Cyber Hobby kit in 1/72. Cheers Tony

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Great, what kind of markings are going to be on the F-5?

I got some red trim on the F-8.

I started the Revell 1/144 F-5E.

Going to let the filler dry and start on the painting. Wheels up and I'll need to make a stand for it.

Nice work on the seat.  These seats that Monogram made for the 6 has to be some of the nicest kit seats made.  I really want to start one of the ones I have.

Well got my bang seat painted finally. Started painting the rest of the office and will have pics up soon of that. Doing her OOB, unless I get a wild hair and try my friends trick of drill bits for some oleos and actuator struts. Whistling

That's a nice model 68. I've only used Starfighter decals once or twice, I've found them to be excellent. Cheers Tony

68gt, that’s one of the schemes on the decal sheet in the kit I just purchased.

Built this F-82 a while ago and it served the all weather interceptor role.

Hello, I'd like to join, with approval.  The build will be a 1/72 Airfix Boulton Paul Defiant. I think I'll do the night version, the shark mouth is pretty cool!
