Wow that wildcat looks great!

Bish - I was set on doing VMFT-401, the US Marines aggressor in tan/brown/green.

After looking over the decal sheet there's another scheme from the same squadron in tricolor blues/grays like russian aircraft, so I'm on the fence.

Thanks,

John

Steve. Holy cow the weathering on that Wildcat is super!

John. That Mirage kit comes with all those decal options? Wow. I thought they were am?

Bruce l. The type 4 looks great with the filter.

I'm still messing around with my Hezbollah guy. I've got the base colors on and some dry brushing. The headscarf is kicking my butt. I've done it 3 times. How the heck do people paint that sh$t??!  The box art is photoshoped! Lol

The Wildcat just gets better and better.

I have an Amati 1/10 bust somewhere in the stash that has similar headgear Griffin. FOr that reason I may never paint it :)

Cheers

Tony

The Hezbollah guy is done. The shemagh, thanks for teaching me something Bish, was difficult but overall he came out ok. Next I'm going to put the M113 and the RPK guy on a base I made a few years ago then I'll be done with.... erie voice ..."Shelf of Dooooom".

Great job Griffin!

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Thanks guys! Well this one is done. The base is a little small but I needed to use it for something and it works for this scene. The Egyptian vulture is a little over the top but what the heck. I made that out of a Tamiya goose. Maybe it's his therapy pet. The guy is taking a picture of the script on the side of the M113. That's my story. Just to be clear I have zero support for Hezbollah. I just thought it would make an interesting subject and I had fun on this build. Thanks for having me and I look forward to seeing everyones builds.

That looks real Griffin. I agree that the base is effective for this. Congratulations on turnng a shelf queen into an excellent and interesting model.

I've updated page one, and thank you for being such a great contributor to this GB.

Really nice work Griffin.  I started doing figures for this exact reason - adding context and scale.  Well done.

Thanks,

John

Hey Nick, your Wildcat looks fantastic. I think the weathering really makes it work. I've always been really interested in Operation Torch, and it had specific marking for allied aircraft too, and colourful Vichy French aircraft too. In my opinion, it would be a great subject for a GB.

Thank you for being an integral part of this GB, your contribution has been both interesting and excellent. I've updated page one.

We've now knocked 3 models of the Shelf of Dooooooooooom !

Cheers

John that F8 looks great. Great paint, decals and weathering. The armaments and stance make it look very mean. That was a good looking jet. Is that circa the Vietnam era?
