I almost opened this “just after midnight “ while we were putting out kids’ gifts but i held out.

santa got me a sweet Destroyer with pe included! I’m calling this “redemption “ as I will try to complete it with all the pieces...unlike the last ship I built lol Detail looks great, it’s just Soooo small I’m definitely building in a tent!

Christmas tradition at our house means you get to open one gift on Christmas Eve! Like a kid in a candy store I went straight to my Secret Santa gift!

I have a pretty inclusive collection of Luftwaffe kits, but I’ve NEVER had an Hs 126! Needless to say I am absolutely thrilled to have this kit and I will start on it ASAP! Thank you so much! Merry Christmas everyone.

I find a nice white sheet under my chair helps.

Mongoose, do you have an optivisor or good magnifying lamp? You might want to polish those up as well.

 

oh no That’s a terrible hint! My next job is to remove all traces of carpet around my bench, vacuum, and put up 8’ tall baricades to deflect flying parts back toward the modeler

i decided to clean my bench and install a new LED light! This gift exchange is  making me do things i normally wouldn’t lol I’ve concluded that wait time is diretly proportional to money spent

My wife said she received a package from OH. She won't open the box even though I told her it's wraped. She said "I'll let you have the fun on Monday" I'm headed to the airport tomorrow night. I hope the partial shutdown won't effect the TSA much. Once I get to Denver on time I'll be home free so to speak. The little hop to Boise is just a 2 hour flight. I won't get to see much though since I'm coming in after midnight.

It's going to be HARD to not jump in on one while I'm there. Our anniversary is on the 26th so the day of the 26th is open since she works but after I pick her up from work and the 27th is out...no model building if I want another anniversary next year LOL.

Just checked in on the government elves and I'm not thrilled with their tracking system.  
All it can tell me is that it's enroute and scheduled to be delivered by 2000 on 12/24. May have to try the purple or brown elves next year.

I hear ya!  It's the only thing helping me not get mad over the government "shut down"...or in my case being furloughed!  Yeah, I work for the government. 

Just in the St. Nick of time......at least those elves won't be affected by the latest SNAFU in DC.

Dropped my package off with the government elves yesterday just before noon. Checked the tracking and it is enroute and should be there Monday evening. Not happy with the fact that it sat in their possession for 12 hours before being shipped.

IT'S THE 20TH!!!!!  Only 5 more days.  I haven't been this excited about opening a gift in some time.  LOL!

My kids are not helping any either.  You see....I let them open one small present Christmas Eve before going to bed...and they are trying to talk me into opening mine then!  I'm teaching them about rules...and will power.  LOL!  I think they will push VERY hard to have me open that one first Christmas morning. (I hope!).

That's A BRILLIANT IDEA!!!!  Put the kids to bed....sneak downstairs and have myself a Merry little Christmas (see what I did there?)  LOL!

Something tells me it is going to be wrapped in a tri-color scheme, like mid-war carrier birds.  MC is going to have to take a pic of the box before unwrapping it now.

Modelcrazy your gift caught a ride in the sleigh today ;-) it’s wrapped inside so the box from cinci can be opened. I got 3 opinions on what color tone the wrapping paper should be and in the end weathered it the way i like it lol

I don't know I've received something already but not sure if I got anything from OH as well. My wife has received so many packages that she can't tell anymore and I won't let her open anything if she's not sure. I may have to see what we got after I get there very early Christmas eve. Sorry Mongoose, I don't know if it has arrived yet.

Got a notification that my package was delivered today to my giftee. 

If you received a package today....in the great white north....it's wrapped so you can open the package to make sure all is well...just sayin.
