Bish, the tank looks good.  I like the paint you chose.

Silentbob and Modelcrazy, the strikers are really cool. Bats come to mind when looking at them.  I'd hate to have them on my tail. Huh?

Good work.

@SB, and Steve,

Great job on the Strikers! Dare I say they are quite striking?!? Big Smile

@Bish,

Nice base color for the tank. It does have a touch of pearlescent shade to it. It's interesting to think what type of material this tank would be made from.

Looks great Steve! I just painted the area black under the rear glass. But it's good to have a wingman!

Cheers guys. I did get the first coat of paint on last Monday. But it  ceracked in some areas, don't know if that was anything to do with the hairspray. I tried a second coat and it did the same. So i have now stripped the tamiya off and will try again at the weekend.

Really nice job there Steve, thats come out great. Like the colour of the base as well.

You need to cover the decals in liquid decal film to protect the ink. I use Microscales which i spray on the decals with a couple of coats.

Modelcrazy and Silentbob, them’s some nice Tie Strikers. I built the 1/144 version but might have to do 1/72 now, thanks to you two.

Bish, the tank looks good, and with that paint job, it looks very retro. Like something you would see in a ‘50s “B” movie.

I’m coming along with the B-wing. It’s proving to be a typical Bandai build. Here’s some pics of where I am now. Ready for clear coat, decals and the dreaded weathering. I want to add some blaster damag and never having tried that before, am a little nervous. But I plan to experiment on an old B-24 first.

Cheers Cary. I was actually tempted to leave it in the bear metal.

That B-Wing looks really nice. I like how the cockpit and wings can be moved but it doesn't look gimicky.

Bish,

I'm done with the TIE fighter. It was quick but fun. Amazing little kits and highly detailed.

It took me 2 days only because I started late and needed to stop for bed.

Here are some WIP pics.

and completed pics.

As usual, use whichever pic you want.

Thanks for another cool GB. I'll get to another Airfix if I can clear the bench.

Those Strykers are nice ships and a pretty good size also. I also like that photo-etched tie. Seen those at hobbylobby, might have to pick one up. Speaking of being at the lobby, I got a great deal on the Luke in stormtrooper uniform. Final mark down price was $3.99.

But, onto current topic. I have done a lot of work on the B-wing, here is the engine pod.

And if you want to light it, it would look like this.

After this I completed the top fuselage.

I will need to fill some seems.

But I went ahead and put the rest of the ship together.

So, I still need to fill the seems and weather the ship.

Cary & Stephan: Great job there guys!!!!!

Nick: Good luck with the popcorn bucket! She's coming along great so far.

Cwalker, it's valejo pale yellow and intermediate green.

Hey Bish, it is a nice kit and a good size. A bit bigger than the old MPC kit. Still some work to go before it is done.

Thanks. The nozzles look great as well. Love the lighting effect. Too bad the they didn’t include a cockpit light.

Slow progress but Han is cleaned up:

Whoops there is a 'crack' in a rather embarassing location. Welp, here goes the putty...

Why not start with the Death Star!!!!   LOL!

Glad you approve Lord Bish.  LOL!  So far so go with her.  Basically 8 panels.  Going to paint it up and do a wash to make the panels and deetail pop a bit.

Here is a pic of the Death Star.  I'm cutting off all the alignment tabs since they are not aligning very well at all.  I'm using strips of styrene I'm cutting up and putting the quarters together with those and super glue.  Once I get the top and bottom halfs done, I'll clean up the seems andthen put the two halfs together.  It will be impressive once done for sure.

And I think I'm going to do this one too.  I plan on doing a few SW kits before the Nov ending....If Lord Bish allows it.  LOL!
