Wow that Canberra turned out great.  She's loaded for bear!

Progress on the Phantom - Really liking the Flory washes

A few more doors and ordinance and she'll be done

Thanks,

John

Is that Cunningham'ss ship?  My wife's brother was on the Connie the same time I was sitting on my base.  He ended up doing a double tour on Yankee Station because their relief carrier caught fire and had to return home.

If you watched teh movie Avengers, did you notice their flying carrier also was numbered 64?

Yep - this is the bird Cunningham flew when he achieved ace status.  I have to put the ordinance on and she will be done.

Thanks,

John

I'm shelving the project for now, John (Eaton). I've got some other stuff to do and I really don't want to spend more time with this group.

Stay safe, everyone.

Calling this one done.  This is the Cunningham/Driscoll mount when Cunningham got his 5th kill.  Fought me all the way and pleanty of mistakes but basically looks like a phantom.

Thanks,

John

Looks very nice from here, John.  A Phantom really wouldn't look right without a little ugly here and there, though I certainly can't see any from here.  I'll pick a picture but if you want a different one let me know and I will fix it.  Probably not the last one.

Thank you for participating, Yer on the Wall!

Okay, the following individuals, report to the mess hall for duty at the grease trap.  You will have this duty until you complete your models and post them here.  No update posts, just finished posts.  Update posts will result in duties less attractive than the grease trap, if I can figure out what that duty might be.  Models not finished will result in permanent GT duty until the next Viet Nam build is instituted.

cbaltrin  Italeri F-100D

Drums01  TBD

GMorrison  1/72 Bilek MiG 19S

Jacknewbill   Monogram 1/48 A-37

lewbud       Fujimi 1/72 EA-6A

PJFN            1/48 Monogram T-28

RealG          1/48 Trumpeter RA-5C

Sailing Dutchman    Revell 1/48 F-100D

SigEp_Ziggy    Fujimi 1/72 Skyraider

Stephan L     Roden 1/48 OV-1A

tankereasy  O-1?

taxtp      1/32 Trumpeter  F-105D

It's been a great group build resulting in 16 fine models being liberated from unbuilt oblivion.  So, thanks to all, whether you were able to finish or not, but especially thanks to those who did and to those who made comments.

And to those left on grease trap duty, don't get any grease on your models as you diligently work to complete them!

Phew, good thing I finished. I wouldn't want no GT duty or peeling no taters!

John,

Nice job on the Phantom.

Begging the Admiral's pardon, but I am humbly reporting for grease trap duty.  I have paint inbound from the Brothers Sprue and will be returning to to the EA-6A soon.  At least keelhauling is off the table because I've heard that's serious on an aircraft carrier.
