Gamera, here is my slow progress to date.  I'm finding the fit of this ICM kit to be not so great.

Ed, some of the ICM Spitfire kits have molding issues, all all of them have some work to do to get the forward fuselage fit correct.  Here's a link to a page of my build log that may be of help.

As ever Bish, thanks for running a great GB. A lot of great and varied builds. I do have a subject for the Junkers GB, but it is a few down the making list. As long as I start before Dec 31, right?

Piers, the floats, and guide wires look perfect. The paint is unique, and it must be a great feeling for you to overcome the problems you encountered and finish with an outstanding model.

Thats lovely Piers, really good to see one of these. Very nice rendition of a tricky looking subject. Thank you.

As long as your entry is on the roster before the end date, thats fine by me even if you don't start it until after.

John, thats exactly the area my kit has issues.  I removed some of those frames that are ment for the body panels to attach to.  Maybe they should only be installed if the cowling is to be left off.

On Ed's bench, ???

Its a pity to hear about that fit. I've only built one of their armour kits and that was a joy to build.  I had heard good things about some of their other aircraft kits.

Ed, if you want the cowl on leave off all the engine parts except what you need to mount the prop, it's one or the other, you can't fit the cowl if the engine is all there.

Piers,

The S.5 look great! Congratulations!

Ed,

Bummer about the fit.  You'll sort it out, I'm sure.  Big Smile

Piers: WHOA!!! That's beautiful man! Love the plane, love the blue and silver, love the rigging. All around super job!!! Heart

Ed: Best 'o luck! I've heard about fit issues with the engine installed but never built one of their kits.

Thanks very much guys, I am happy with the results on that one.

Ed, hope you get on top of that cowling issue. Not had one myself.
