The chipping looks really good AA. I'd be very pleased with that if  I were you.

Latest WIP, exterior painting and chipping done.  Next, need to  work on landing gear, drop tanks, and canopy.

I've made some progress on my N1K2-J Shiden. I found several references that quoted a colour close to interior green for the cockpit, which surprised me. I've just added harnesses, after deciding to live with the integrally moulded armchair they provide for a seat.

If you run this again next year Cliff, I've realised I've got three Japanese projects that I want to build.

Alright, the Ki-84 "Frank" is DONE.  Final reveal pics here.  I will eventually add it to a diorama base with the previously finished Kurogane and a pilot figure (all came in the same Tamiya kit), but this is the finished airplane.  Gamera, you can use image #3 in this sequence for the front page gallery thanks!

So here's the final scene, the Frank mated with the Kurogane on the included display base.  I really have to highly recommend this Tamiya kit.  All the parts you see came with the kit (except for the EZ-line for the antenna wires); all figures, both vehicles, and the display base materials, all in a very economical package.  It may not be the most detailed kit, but it went together easily thanks to typical Tamiya excellent engineering; in fact it was a much easier build than their A6M5 Zero that I did.  A fun, quick build that produces a nice little scene.

AA: That looks great!!! Did you post her over in the diorama section? I'd be proud to show her off!!! 

Tony: Great work there too! The NM looks so good I'd be tempted to just leave her in that! 

BTW: Off to put up JGB XI now...

The Frank and Kurogane looks really good A_A, well done.

For my George, I wanted to give an appearance where it's starting to weather, rather than having wholesale peeling and fading. I've got this far. The color is Mr Color Kawanishi green, then faded slightly in the middly of the panels, I scratched the surface with a toothpick to reveal the metal colour underneath.
