Japanese Group Build X

Rules

*Start Date January 1, 2021

*End Date December 31, 2021

*Japanese subjects which I'll define as operating under the Japanese flag, aka a captured P-40 flown by a Japanese pilot would be kosher

*Cross-overs are welcome

*Pre-started are fine as long as they're under 10-20% finished (light assemby)

*Any 'roll-over' subjects from JGB IX are welcome

* No cut-off date for entry, you can enter on Dec 30 if you can build the model in a day

And most important have fun guys and gals!

I just did my first Japanese aircraft kits!  Had a blast with them!  So I am very excited about this GB.  Count me in!  Not sure what kit I will do yet.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I'll be in but it's TBD at this point as to what.  Oh well, why not, Tamiya's 1/48 Dinah, the Ki-46 III variant.

John & TJ: Thanks guys! Just put you both down.

Still not sure what to go with as a group badge this time. Gary/GAF suggested the gal in a sailor outfit but we already did that. Maybe a navy officer's uniform? I was thinking of maybe having her in samurai armour- we haven't done that yet.

I will be in again, subject TBD.

It may end up being Seiran from the 2020 build, if I can't knock it out next month.

Robert: No sweat!

Xraylizard: Welcome, hope you have fun. We aren't too serious here, this GB is mostly just to get people to pull some Japanese subjects out of the stash and get them built.

I'm in.  I've got a 1/48 scale Tamiya combo pack, a Nakajima Hayate (Frank) and a Kurogane vehicle, with a small diorama display base.  I may build the whole thing, or just one or the other of the two vehicles.

Put me down for a Tamiya 1/35 Type 1 Ho-Ni Self Propelled Gun. I might as well add a Tamiya 1/48 Ki-61d Hein (Tony) also. It will be the first airplane I’ve done in years.

Thanks for adding me Gemera. It will be nice to build an airplane and the Tamiya kit should be a joy to build. What I’m not looking forward to is painting the natural metal and the camouflage afterwards.

Going to tackle a small one this year.  Although I expect several other project to be started and completed this year as well.

Finemolds 1/72  Kayaba Ka-Go Ka-1

This little autogyro looks interesting, as well as tiny and low parts count. :)

Put me down for a 1/144 Zero from SWEET.

I've got a back order in for the canopy mask, otherwise should be oob.  Gotta get out of this funk of completing only one build a year.

regards,

Jack

Sounds cool Jack! It's going to be a pain to mask a canopy that small though...
