Looks like weathering to me. Nice and subtle. Looks great. I always sweat the weathering too. I always figure I'm going to ruin a good build. But it usually comes out okay. I think we're all our worst critics.

Looks good!
On the Bench: Too Much
Nice looking M1 Cary. Can you get me a picture on a cleaner background for the roster page?
Thanks for the positive comments on the weathering!
Cbaltrin, I resized the S13 photo for you
Cary, nice job!

Thanks James.
I don't know if your the king, but I have 12 kits/dioramas started and have not finished a kit in forty years! I want to change that this year, I will post 2 and see how it goes

a bit more work today. Painted the rear lights on and finished up the chassis. Not gonna lie, the Tamiya smoke color was a pain to apply. I switched from Tamiya thinner to Mr Color, and went with less and less thinner until I got it right. I also think the psi regulator on my compressor may be inaccurate because even though I had it at 18 psi it felt really strong. Lowered it down to 10 and it worked so much better.
So I guess we need a badge for this GB. I have a few ideas, but I am not really a digital artist... Any volunteers out there to assist in creating the badge?

Well, I corrected and repainted the nose this morning. I'll let the paint cure some before I give it a coat of Tamiya X-22 Gloss Clear. After that, a few decals and on to final assembly.
OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

maybe a guy on a tractor pulling a load of half built kits? Maybe some at the bench with a pile of open kits ... maybe a guy opening the closet door and getting buried in half built kits?
Chassis is complete. Just the small details now.
Waiting on some paint to come in. Was looking for Honda's Celestial Blue but didnt want to pay for the actual paint. I found a few choices from Mr Color that look pretty darn close so well see. One is a bit too light, the other a bit to dark.
Also masked off hte windows
While sanding some filler this morning I kept looking at this poor Monogram F106. I guess thats going to my 1st build here and I'll keep up with my sanding.
On Ed's bench, ???
Welcome aboard 68GT. I have added you and your Six to the roster. I see sandpaper stocks will be on the rise soon
James, nice window masking. I like those coloros too!

Since I am almost done with the CRX, just waiting for paint... Im gonna add another kit to this GB. I still have the Saturn V to finish also, but I am still brainstorming some ideas with the smoke. Ive had this truck since 2014 unfinished so its time..
Naturally, because I brought down another kit... my paint for the CRX came in. I couldn't help but lay it down right away. Im pretty excited on the outcome. Its pretty damn close to oem. Maybe a tad bit more metallic but damn close. Tricky part will be getting all the black trim and window rubber painted black.
Adding this Tamiya P-51D to the list. I have no idea why I stopped working on it but I discovered it in the box over the weekend and starting cleaning up the fuselage and wing seams. Looks like I put it on 'the shelf' just after I glued the wings on.... Now, have to decided on markings--no Idea what I was planning on when I started it...
You are on a roll Project510. Nice paint job there!

Thanks! This is easily the best idea for a group build. That combined with the kid wanting some completed kits has me super motivated.
Just thought I'd share what's on my bench right now that might qualify for this group build. What you see here are just some of the partially built kits I have that need to be completed.
Yeah, those long horizontal aren't fun especally when you have an old warped kit. I'm making progress though. I also put one of the Six Shooter gun pods on that I picked up a while ago.
That's a lot of stuff fotofrank for sure. If I put all my in work builds on my bench it woul be quite a pile... however that gives me an idea for the GB badge!
