Okay, apologies to DIDFAL. I totally forgot to add your name to the list, but that's been remedied. You listed a few different things, which specific kit(s) are you planning on building?

With that, I believe that the list is just about up to date. I think the only one who hasn't chimed in with his specifics is Keyworth. ED!!! Lemmee know whatcha gonna do!!! Tongue [:P]

I added a buncha images to the Town Records, mostly of Warbirds. I'll try and get some detail shots up next, and then work on the overall shots of the aircraft which ya'll are buildin'. So, once again, if you know what your exact subject is going to be and haven't chimed in, please do...

Yeah, it was originally only for use after completion, but I decided to do things a bit differently midstream. If you wanna use the badge now, that's fine.

Now I'm off to add some more 'pitchers to the Town Records...

Just went over and looked at that F-6 seat... that'll work my friend. I sure do appreciate it!

Hmmm... Steve I can't remember if I ever declared my scheme. It'll be "Petie's 2nd" as this build will be OOB except for the harness that I'm going to attempt to scratch build.

BTW... I knew if anyone would have a pic of what I needed you would... thank'ya kindly.

Wibhi2, Thanks for the website. I might try the flat black to find errors and then try to buff it off for the no primer prep that the site talks about. Anyway, it was helpful, so thanks!

I'm going to try and post photos of all the different aircraft which you fellas are planning on building. Photos of the real deal, that is. So if you know which subject you're building but haven't made it known, please do so....

I'm going to be trying to do Ridge Runner, but it is for a friend and I am letting him chose elements - he wants invasion stripes. I don't know if Ridge Runner had invasion stripes (not on the decal directions), so I don't know if my historical inaccuracy will cause (here's my poor attempt at the ranch humor) a posse to be round up and there might be a hangin'

Anyway, any pictures would be appreciated.

Adam, forgot to say earlier that I posted an image of a seat which went into an F-6D restoration; this would be the same as those which were in P-51D's. I dunno if it's going to help you out, though. It doesn't show an awful lot, but it's the 'bestest' I've come across in my search.

Ayhoo, I've got some more images to scan from that restoration as well as some other things which may help some of ya'll out. Which reminds me...

Joe, I agree with RJK - BUT let's just see how well I do on my second try with the '94 before I eat me words. It's a tough finish you did
and your results are well worth the effort.

When you did the glue, did you brush apply or use a spray like photo mount?
This time around, I am going to use spray mount since it appears to allow the HHF go down smoother in some experiments I did.

Pix, ah think we'd be right proud to have 'ya'join us wrustlers fer'th festivalities.

To the others who've recently asked to be added to the list, I'll get on that soonly...

I suppose I should make a cut-off date for participation... let's call it August 15th.

Joe, geez, you did get a head start but this is really too soon to have a finished model...

WHAT AM I SAYIN'??? The sooner you get one finished the sooner you can start another... Wink [;)]

TimL, thanks for posting those links. I've been fortunate enough to see The Horseman several times, but it's never quite the same seeing it on the ground as it is seeing it from the air. Really cool stuff.

Newtothegame, I originally stated not to use the GB badge until after you'd completed your Stang, but you can go ahead and use it now if you want.

Joe, thats a big improvement from your first foil job on the P-38. Still not as smooth as you might like, but definitely getting better. Practice makes perfect.

Maybe I should ask this in the NMF thread, but I suspect this one is more read right now.

I am going to do my finish with SNJ. Should I use primer beforehand?? I imagine the primer would be very helpful in finding blemishes, but it would also make it so surface the SNJ would go on would not be nice polished plastic. Any advice?

Can I still get on this build? I just rustled up an Accurate Miniatures Mustang Mk.1A that I was going to backdate into a Mk.1, probably with 414 sqn RCAF markings. Looks like good work by others in this build already, so I hope I'm not too late.

Also, and I suppose a little less important, is the badge for now or when our mustang is complete? Don't want to do it wrong Confused [%-)]

Great ref. material BlackWolf... that should make for hours of good reading. I still can't find a picture that satisfies my need for seat harness detail. Do you have any tucked away anywhere?
