Yeah, they make clear kits, like the tamiya clear mig-15bis. Errgh, that thing was a nightmare, ejector pin marks every where, and they have to stay clear!!!!!!!!!

My ancestors fought for the North and South, but only one person for the South and probably 5 for the North. They were from one of the most Northern states, and I think all but 2 died or something

I’m kinda interested in Civil War reenacting after I saw the movie Gods and Generals. But I don’t think we do much reenacting here in Washington State. I also had ancestors that fought in the Civil War. My ancestors were in 25th Georgia regiment, that’s all I know.

I just sprayed the darke green on the phantom and pulled all the masking!!!!!!!!! At the rsik of sounding arrogant, I think it looks great. It's the best I've done anyway. I hope to get pics up soon.

Hey, a fellow reenactor, that great! I kno i have ancestors from the Civil War, but they havent been traced. Ironically the family records start in 1865 when my Great Grandpa was born.

They make Clear kits?

I finally got to spray the medium gren. Yay! However, due to the evilness of my airbrush (which is an aztek) i got a few sputtersd on the coat. Oh well.

thanks for the kind words guys.
To post shade I mix up a 50/50 mixture of black, then I turn my nozzel on my airbrush to a pretty fine touch. I then lighty spray all of the rased and recesed detail. THe effect it is symbolizing is well, shade. It really adds a nice touch to your models and gives it a really good sense of depth.

I haven't done a progress check for a few days but there hasn’t been much to do on the model, so here's one now…

Proress report: added a coat of future to the p-38 -- looks quite nice. (This is my first time ever using future on a model and I really like the results I got).

Hey, how do you use the post shading technique? What effect is it trying to replicate?

I probably started it in early October (I cant remember) and finished the assembling in about 2 days, maybe 3hrs of work. then I painted it with Tamiya Dark Green and post shaded it with tamiya Black. The I gave it a coat of Future, and Oil wash Decals, and then a dullcoat and drybrushing. I must say this is by far one of my favorite models. It going to go into a dio as soon as I order some figs.

oh, and the tracks were painted MM gunmetal, and the drybrushed with testors Alluminum and Rust.

Hey that’s a good-looking model you got there! How long did it take you build it and what paint did you use?
