As far as airbrushing goes, I think I am in the past. I have just upgraded to using styrofoam to hold things, used to do it by hand. My station sucks, and I think I am using too much thinner for cleaning etc. It out in the shop, it has spider webs all around it, hell, i made it myself. Some day I would like to have a modeling room in the house. With heat and air conditioning. Maybe one day...

reggie and jay, glad to hear from you guys! I though you had abandoned us!

oooo, I'll have to look through my FSM mags, theres one with PE bedsprings. I'll find it.
But, you could look for a PE set. I saw some PE mesh that would definetly work. Its used for architect model houses or something, its at my Hobby town USA. After that you would have to do a little bit of scratch building.

M1, interesting idea for a build. it'd be a stand alone model right? since you're not recreating the whole scene

hope you guys can all finish before 12:00 modnight december 31(?). me, not a chance....

BTW- NEone know where one cold get some russian T-34 bedspring armor? its not for this build but for a dio i got planned later on.

a month, well parent teacher conferences next week, so i ghet 2 more days off, so even more progress on the phantom. I STILL haven't painted the bottom, it needs a coat of future, then the decals, a flat coat, and then final assembly. still a ways to go. It's a long way to Tip... okay never mind. lol.

I'm just wondering why, either russian or korean, they are using the standard alphabet, and not their own characters.......? that kinda messes things up a bit.

hi, Chris !
NINOCHKA is a name, it's russian & it means Little Nina, i think....
the russians liked 2 put their girlfriend's name on their tanks 4 some reason,
also various political slogans...

yeah, it'll be a challenge.

the only thing right now, is what it all has for baggage on there.

it says NINOCHKA on the turret (I looked it up and found nothing telling me what it means.......Russian or Korean) it also says it on the side of the hull (I got a better quality pic in a book here). I imagine it says it on the other side of the turret and hull.

its the only picture I could find of it, but it shows enough for me to work on.

took the tabs of the spare fuel tank holders. those are fragile pieces without the tabs. I took a pic that I'll post sometime here. otherwise I'm half way through assembly here, I'm busy right now so i don't think I'll get much done till thursday............
also took off some front hull detail that I saw wasn't on the korean beast.

nice job woover!
duplicating a tank from a picture is always very hard....who knows mayb theres something on the other side, or, what does it say on the turret, whats that on top of there? and its probably the only picture of that tank........
i just came back from thanksgiving vacation, and now i got school tommorrow.......ugh.....i think ill get working on the Zero to burn the rest of the day......i made pictures of my progress so far, but i have to take all the pictures at one time and then l8r put them up......and i should really get started on that canopy for the wildcat, and the decals......its never gonna end!!!! post numba 600!!

I would need to put an interior into it to duplicate the scene, unfortunately

it will have the baggage on the back if I can figure out what it all gots on................Wink [;)]

Hey M1abrams

That would be interesting to see something like that being duplicated. It looks like a good challenge.
