i reworked the gap between the wings and the fuselage.

my first kit was a uss missouri that "I" (ie my dad) built. the first kit i builkt by myself was a mig-21 by academy. to see how i've progreesed during my career ask me and i'll attempt to get pics up of the mig, and you can compare to the pahntom. the mig was unpainted and very gluey and some decals were glued on!!!!!!!!!

Hey, as long as you started after the start date its ok.

For hosting pics, post them here. But first you'll have to upload them to a site, I use

www.photobucket.com

Its free and very easy to use. then once you have uploaded pics onto the photobucket site, high light the URL and copy it.
then type (on the forum, on the page you want to post pics on) only with out the spaces.

Oh, and just t you guys who dont get out until Wednesday, I think you will be happy when I go back to school on the 4th.Sad [:(] and your still at home!

double D- you wont be alone my friend, ill be sitting at the bench here as well.

I got started as a war-junky back when i was like 6-8(?). i got one of those cheap little soldiers kits and that just started it all. NEway, when i was ten i got a kit of the arizona. thatwas my first model, and i still want to get another one and trick it out with some PE and an actually decent paint job. eh, i got time....

BTW- reg, nice lookin model. im not into gundams presonnally, but it looks good to me.

hello all, here are pictures of part I of my revised submission for this GB. its a 1/100 scale Aile Strike Gundam. another cool-looking gundam with a silly name. the cool sounding ones all look icky.

its weathered with pencil, but for some reason it is much more obvious on the model than in the pics.

I Had started painting Civil War figs in about 7 to 8th grade summer. Then the next year when My cousin came to visit we went to the hobby shop to get some new paints. He was getting a model and supplies, so he talked me into getting one and I did. Italerie's 1/72 M4 Sherman and Ever since then I have loved em. It wasnt to good either but hey, it was My first one.

i feel ur pain reg, i have a sister whose......not the sharpest tool in the shed......"think if i throw this ball at your shelf, and your models, do you think it'll bounce back????"
IM SICK OF IT!!! i cant take looking at my unfinished wildcat sitting there!!!! it needs decals!!! im putting on the bad ones!!!! i've pulled off miracles b4.....( jesus- "for my next miracle i'll turn water into FUNK!!!") hehehehehe family guy..... anyway, the reason im doing this is because i put decals (same in quality or lack there of) on and,(expectedly) the edges curled up... but alittle elmers and a few cuss words and it looks pretty good.... same with the wildcat, but i still have to make the canopy.......
WHO"S PULLING AN ALL NIGHTER ON DEC 30TH TO FINNISH THIS BUILD???? ME!!!

and i was wondering how did everyone get into modeling??
i got interested in modeling at the musuem of science and industry here in chicago..... when we went on a field trip when i was......7 or 8 idk right now....and i would just stare at the u boats, and aircraft carriers drooling..... so then when i went to Gdansk in Poland (a lot of hobby shops there...) i got my first model an ACADEMY (I BELIEVE) 1/48 fairly barracuda i bolted home and finnished it in 2 days (i promised my parents that i would finnish it when i came back) it wasnt painted but it was good....

actually it was half my fault half hers. i had put a box containing the parts on my bed cos its the most convienent place to put em while i work on stuff. sure enough, she came along and took a seat. smack on the box. it was a metal box but still it didnt help much. her back end wasnt the worse for wear but thats more than i can say for my engine block and dashboard. [:( ] conclusion : mom doesnt look before she plops, so i have to get my stuff outta the way.
