that is a good looking phantom there tankmaster Smile [:)]

my fellow YGers, im afraid im going to change the submission for this GB. i was planning to submit the tamiya enzo, but the way i see it, i wont be able to finish it, due to many setback both my fault and the fault of circumstance prevailing against me (the circumstance was mom sitting on some parts and breaking them). so i have decided that i will enter a pair of gundams. one of them i am still working on, the other i had finished before i decided to change, but i started it well after the GB start date. is the one thats completed an OK submission ?

nah, it actually turned out OK. It'll be fine once the flat coat goes on over it. I had one run unfortunately, but mebbe i'll just swab that area with windex. shouldn't be a problem. had a bit of a run in with the shark mouths. my decal set/ softener doesn't eat up decals, but on the other hand it doesn't do anything else to them either, so i'll swich to micro sol as soon as i can find some.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE B-DAY WISHES!!!!!

jay_liang that looks awesome!!! I just have a big sheet of sand paper that does the job.....well. i put putty on a huge gap on the zero yesterday, now im SANDING!! then ill put alittle paint on it see if its noticeable and move on if it is....
rebel..... and anyone who would like to try. i highly recommend trying paintball! the guns may not look realistic, especially with the big hopper (big thing that sticks up on the top that holds the paintballs) it doesnt hurt! as many people would think (a small plastic ball goin at 300 f/s)
i have testing days where i get tests from every subject b4 christmas break (nxt friday!!!) then finals afta i come back!! :(

I wanted to tell jay_liang that the Rafale is looking good! I hate having to sand away so much detail as well but scribing is not so bad. Which Rafale kit is that? 1/48 or 1/72? Maybe Trumpeter will roll out a 1/32 Wink [;)]

thanks! it's the Revell 1/48 Rafale B. i'm saying trump'll come out with the 1/32 in April '05. lol.

I'll tell you what sucks EXAMS!!!! Evil [}:)] I have three this week and I would love to finish my Super Bug for the Nav AV GB but well, since college costs I would get smacked if I didn't make the grades. Another weekend of brain overload. Anyways, I'm 28 and too old for this build but I wanted to tell jay_liang that the Rafale is looking good! I hate having to sand away so much detail as well but scribing is not so bad. Which Rafale kit is that? 1/48 or 1/72? Maybe Trumpeter will roll out a 1/32 Wink [;)] and Happy B-Day [bday] Double D!

i made a mistake and misaligned the fin. that's why i had to sand the bottom off a bit and lost some recessed detail.Banged Head [banghead]

hey, Happy birthday!!! I'll change that right away! I play airsoft instead of paint ball. I love the way the guns are, They are almost like the real ones! My sisters friend came over on a leave from Iraq, saw my M4 inspected it and said it looked exactly like his! Unfortunatly (i think) it doesnt snow here, just gets really really cold! Me and my friends are going to try and have a night battle this weekend, in the cold!
I hope it happens!

whew... that was a lot of sanding! I just finished a day's work on the Rafale. filled and sanded gap between wings and fuselage on the underside, filled and sanded seam between upper and lower fuselage halves at the nose section, and a LOT of sanding around the intakes where the fit wasn't all that good. that was the most sanding i've ever done in a day. now i think the aircraft's ready for painting when christmas break comes around..

i'll post some progress pics in a few hours; my dad just got a new digital camera. so when he comes home, i'll take some.
