Daniel: Col. Mumford stepped up as of last week.. I'm not sure when they hired him. kind of hard getting used to the the guy... can't get a word in edgewise with him always blabbing about this or that... all those war stories!!! I think he makes it up as I am sure he wasn't in the American Revolutionary war and I know he couldn't have been fighting the Germans in it either!!!

As far as the cockpit.. I say go for it! I love seeing the detail and I always learn off of it!

Fair enough mate. I was gonna go and visit her in hospital as you suggested, but it sounds like she's just trying to get attention. BTW, who's taken over her position at happy acres?

I've been looking at cockpit photos of spitfires all day, and I've come up with all the wires and details I want to add. Problem is, I can't see where to stop, by the time I'm finished, I'll have spent a few months on the cockpit if I add all the stuff I want to. Might as well give it a go eh?

I kid of wish I did that on my Martlet Daniel... I will definitely start ordering things on the one I am doing for the N Africa GB... mostly the ultracast seat and tires, and definitely the prop!! thats one thing that didn't sit right with me... the looks of the Tamiya cuffed prop... as far as more I am not sure.. will see what is out there...

And don't feel sorry for Kremps..... the woman has issues and needs help.. this is the last time I feel sorry for her! I even bought her 6 cabbages and a bunch of beets to eat while she was homeless, after getting fired from Happy Acres... and she does THIS to me! she's just looking for attention and I am not going to give it to her!

Poor old Kremps eh? I feel sorry for her.

On a brighter note, I have started work on my spitfire. I'm adding PE parts to the cockpit at the moment. I might have a go at some extra detailng on this one, like adding wires and hoses.

oh yeah! I was so tiffed about Kremps and her little stunt I forgot to send the good news! I got the box with the ultracast wheels and intake for the Typhoon and the wheels and seats for the P-47 for the Latinamerican build... In a separate envelope post marked Mexico (they have some BEAUTIFUL stamps! I may scan them and post them on here... very impressive compared to the santa claus Xmas ornament adorning my latest book of postage) were my decals for the same GB... of the P-47 from escuadron 201 that fought bravely in the PAcific in WWII... so I am ready to go! I was thinking about starting another BoB build if they didnt get here by tonight!

Rick - finally! we have the whole cast of the GB as residents at Happy Acres! Kremps appreciates your sentiments she says, she's still a bit miffed about that night in Thailand when you left her there and flew back to the states solo, she said it took her 37 days to swim back... he had nothing but shark and giant squid to eat along the way...

Tanky - Kremps has been mumbling something about adopting you... watch it though, she had her last adopted son humanely euthanized. Something about him going on the carpet. About the N. Africa GB as far as I know it is armor or aircraft... or anything you want that fought in the campaign...

Bob - I think this is another one of her stunts to get people to say nice things about her... she was spotted in the solarium earlier today doing squats using old Mr. Hinshaw in room 308 as weights... Her Dr. looked shocked when I mentioned gangrene of the gums.,. he explained it was merely psoriasis of the gums and nothing to worry about... I'll let her play her little game out and I thnk we all need to confront her. Tell her we are tired of getting our hearts jerked around like this!

Word has it that Kremp's death is just a cover. Rumor has it that she has applied for a position as a barmaid at a little joint in Casablanca called Rick's Place.....something about a North Africian Group Build or such....

Hopefully my wife picked up some light blue poster board today so I can make a backdrop, use my new desk lamp and take some photos of the completed He111 to post this weekend. Taxman wasn't nice enough to warrent a new digital camera...yet.

I know Bob... it took me awhile to adjust to the idea too... but since this is the 5th time this year she's been there, I am starting suspect she is just playing for sympathy.. I think all those years of torturing helping patients at Happy Acres has her feeling a little depressed and needing attention herself!

I almost sold my AB to my father who for the last two years has been more and more involved in wood carving. He calls it a retierment hobby. Boy am I glad I didn't sell it. Smile [:)]
I also just got a new tool thanks to him. Last weekend we were in Lee Valley (I don't know if it is in the US) but anyway, My dad was looking for a specific tool and in the catalog he was looking at I pointed out a pin vise and told him it is a really popular tool with modelers and I was thinking of getting one. Low and behold once we get home he pulls out the pin vise from his bag and gives it too me! [:0] I have no idea how I got along without it! It came with 12 bits but the smallest one still isn't as small as you can go. Big Smile [:D]I have used it almost everyday since for something different each time! I just need to get a few other smaller microbits for drilling out gun barrels. I love my dad!Approve [^]Thumbs Up [tup]

Yeah, I still use my Paasche H for about 60% of my work, although I find myself using the Iwata HP-CR more & more.

Jules and Razor, nice work! I hope that soon I'll be able to post some decent progress pics of my hurricane. I also hope to paint my typhoon tonight! It has been a long time since using my airbrush, I hope I still remember how to use my paasche H, I know it is old but it was all I could afford at the time and I don't feel like getting the dual action ones at this point.Tongue [:P]

Dave, Great job on the Heinkell Thumbs Up [tup]. Glad to hear you were happy with the flat top-coat.

Jules, The Stuka is coming along very nicely. Looking good. As far as the Group Badge, they all look good, although personally I would prefer one more Aircraft oriented. But if you intend to make it a cross culture GB & include the Targets, errr, Ground Pounders, I guess it would be OK.

Thanks for the comments guys!! I have a MAD build coming up this weekend (yes... I cross over to the dark side once in awhile) but hope to get her finished up in the next week or so.

Pingtang: The finish was Model Master Acrylic flat finish in a bottle. Rick suggested the poly scale product which is similar but apparently a little better. I didn't feel like driving all the way accross town to the other LHS.

Jules: The Stuka is looking great! Thumbs Up [tup]
