Count this lil' fluffy duck in!!!!!Wink [;)]

I reckon I'll build........................................
Bf 109E-3.

Yeah, that seems like the billTongue [:P]

And the time frame will give a chance to do some hard core camo work on it.

Thank God Sabre's weren't invented yet!
Sigh [sigh]

Might be wearing the GB tag a tad early, but call it advertising.Tongue [:P]
Might spur more peeps on to join, this one seems like an excellent idea!Big Smile [:D]

Darson, that pretty much decides the matter then.

Hurricane Mk1 night fighter it is.

Not sure I would want to consider rescribing the panel lines on another German bomber, which is what I would have to do with the Ju88 just yet, I still haven't finished scribing the ones on my Do217K yet!

cool Lucien welcome aboard! I am at a standstill on what to build... don't feel like doing the Defiant in 1/72... I dunno why I am stuck on 1/48 at the present... maybe because this is the first time since I was a kid I am modelling in a house instead of an apt and I have room for them?

Maybe because I am becoming old and feeble and can't see the smaller stuff? hmmm... I'll post it tonight... gotta be decisive here... otherwise I'll end up with three kits and not know which one I wanna build first!

Consider counting me in. I have the Academy Hawker Hurricane that is stalled right now for want of an airbrush regulator. If I can get one though, I may be in. Like I said, we'll see.

Karl

Karl,

A number of squadrons including Nos 73, 85 & 87 flew the Hurricane Mk.I in a nightfighter role during the BoB.

Cruzr, welcome to the forum. The Blenheim should be an interesting build, I can remember building that kit when I was about 10, which makes it a fair few years old. Still if I remember rightly it went together quite nicely.

Jules, you must be a glutton for punishment if you are going to mask a Stuka canopy!

Hey does anyone know what the Revell Stuka is like to build, i normally avoid revell kits but this one looks OK judging by the pics on the box, it's in a desert scheme but i can live with that as long as it's the right model B2 i think........
anyways i'l be doing it in the colours of the 77th, this group lost 16 A/C in one day over southern England..........Jules.........

Jules,

I am assuming that you are going to do the Revell (ITALERI) 1/72 JU-87B-2/R-2. If not then ignore this.

I have done a bit of looking about and come up with a couple of reviews of the kit for you.

If you are doing the 1/72 Stuka, you're a braver man than I am with the masking you're going to have to do on the canopy Big Smile [:D]

Cruzr,

I have updated the front page with your Blenheim.

Cheers

thanks for the warm welcome. The "Halifax" was a nice idea but i'm going to go with a Mark IV Bristol Blenheim in 1/72 from Airfix. i'm going to do some reading and pick a squadron and version.

The names Cliff by the way, i'm from Halifax, Nova Scotia

Welcome Cliff!!! glad to have you aboard!

And how about you build a Halifax? Wink [;)] no rush on letting us know... I have put myself in for the Boulton Paul Defiant but i just found out the 1/48 kit is not out yet and that's all I have built in since I got back to modelling... I guess I will do the 1/72.. Sad [:(] I wish my 1/24 Spitfire Mk V was a Mk II so I could build it.... I am getting anxious to get into it but keep getting wrapped up in Group Builds...

Firstly, Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the FSM forum Cliff and thanks for joining us on this GB.

I have updated who is building what (as far as they know so far) on the first page. Just remember this is definitely not set in stone, if anybody has a change of preference just let me know.

As far as I am concerned, I have definitely made up my mind. I will be building a Spitfire Mk.II of 91 Sqdn No P8194.
P8194 was a 'presentation' aircraft, which was marked with the town or city that that raised money for its construction, which in this case was the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia. I will be using Aeromasters lovely Battle of Britain Pt.II for the decals.

Darren

Count me in. I think this might be the excuse I need to have a Spitfire MkIIa in my cabinet!

I have the Tamiya and Monogram offerings in 1:48 and the BIG Airfix one in 1:24...

Please put me down for a Spitfire MkIIa, I will let you know scale a little later if that is ok?

Oh, can I enter my Hobbycraft 1:48 Civilschmitt at all? It is the Buchon Ha1112 they used in the Battle of Britain movie.

cheers and thanks

I did read in some book that the Defiants had one good daylight mission shooting down a couple of 109's only because the 109's mistook them for Hurricanes and attacked from astern...................J.S................

oh! no don't go to all THAT trouble... I have some pics already, but if it means cutting or something then I think I am ok... and I like that Defiant story... imagine their surprise then those Hurricanes start shooting at them from behind!

haha... probably felt like I do on Saturday night when all the rednecks are throwing their beer cans out of the window driving down the highway...
