                        I might have a go at this. I got the Condor kit. I might have some 1/72 German seat belts lying around. With an overall Grey scheme, leaving off the so-called "rockets". Disapprove [V]Shouldn't be too bad. Subject to the OIC's approval, of course!Angel [angel] I would want to take anything underway w/o her consent-especially when it comes to "her" time, i.e. my off-time!Mischief [:-,]

                        principle & do a plain old boring grey finish on my a/c...

                        and then there is always the red scheme... (and the Russians, Brits, Americans, Japs, etc all their own variations).

                        Actually, this GB has been quite educational in the all the variations and types!

                        Well, the 24 hours to build the 'schlepper' starts in 14 hours and 20 minutes! I'm going to do mine in mustard yellow, use some burnt umber ink for washing (I've never washed a model before, so, should be interesting), use a silver pen for edging (scratches), some MIG pigments for dust (again, a first time), and a silver light dry brush generally.

                        Is anyone else going to join me for the 'Mad Komet Tractor Day'?

                        Oh well, just me, and it's now (by 6 minutes) Saturday! Just 23 hours and 53 minutes left to finish in. OK, seriously, can anyone recommend a blend to produce the 'dark yellow' finish of the tractor? I've got most Humbrol paints, as well as others, and best I can think of is 99 (lemon) or 154 (pale yellow)

                        Well, looks like I'll be the first to start - being in Japan. An hour and a half to go! Got my sushi & nato ready in the fridge! Tried to get ahold of my buddy to borrow his camera, I just hope I catch up w/ him tommorrow b4 midnite! Taking some pics w/ the regular 35mm just in case! Wish me luck!! - Calvin

                        So far, so good! Got the thing washed, de-flashed, major components cut out & the holes for the so-called rockets got some super-glue gel in them. Now T+1 hour(or so)Big Smile [:D] Really not a bad little kit.

                        Just a note to let you guys know that Jeff Sinclair is building the Academy 1/72 Komet (donated by me) (I noticed there was a ? next to his name on the list)
                        He has abstained from any kind of alchohol today in preparation and is good to goSmile [:)]

                        Osher, go with Revell matt 88, if you have it....should be about right

                        Less then 12 hours before I can get started. Just told the wife that I was participating in another “Mad” build starting at midnight, I forgot to tell her sooner. Seems she forgot to tell me she was going on a trip as she’s in the bedroom packing her bags.

                        Going to be great fun, still have to get out to the hobby shop for some paint, nothing like waiting until the last minute. Trip to the LHS could be complicated as we’re having a bit of an ice storm right now. Oh well, traffic should be light.

                        Osher, Humbrol 93 or Revell 16 would be a good start. After a wash and a drybrush, it won't matter much anymore. But 99 and 154 are definitely not 'ochre' enough.

                        Having said that, now that you only have 3hrs and 30mins to complete the tractor, it might not matter anyway either! Just kidding!

                        Lodni, hope everything is going well for you. By the time I start, you should be really well into it!
