There should be a couple subs in this GB. Any submariners out there? Seawolf class doesn't quite make it in but Los Angeles class is good. Soviet attack or patrol class sub just screams for this GB.

I posted this in all of the pertinent forums but I guess they don't want to come over and play.

If I find a reasonably priced Zvezda Kursk, I'll do a dual-build, but I haven't seen one around for a while.

I was thinking the same thing you were Zokissima. I saw one in my LHS yesterday. I think I remember it was $25. I don't think I'm gonna do it though.

Squadron has some very cheap 1/400 Maquette subs. Even if they aren't good quality, I might get one just to add a sub to this GB.

I propose a more generic badge because there are non-armor models showing interest.

The Berlin Wall fell on November 9, 1989; how about using that as close date?

That badge looks good too. Can you put a small gray drop shadow on the lettering? It would make the word "war" stand out better against the blue bkgrnd on the american flag. If you need any help just ask.

I guess I should've set the fall of Communism as the closing date, for some reason I see the beginning of Peroistroika as the end of the cold war. But you're right 1989 should be and will be the ending date.

that's a nice patch too, but I'm sticking with the one already here. The Soviet military parade IMO is a brilliant example of the Cold War in full swing.

Tankmaster, I'd like to build from both sides of the Cold War, so I will also do a DML BMP-1 if that's okay

Still thinking about this one. I know what I would build. With August being the fiftieth anniversary of the first flight of the Lockheed U-2, I’d backdate Testors’ U-2C to a 2A. Will see as we get closer to May.

Hmm, I kinda like Moggies.

Model Grandpa, Build both an A and a C. They're both appropriate to this build. As is the SR-71.

Lets let it go a few more days and see if we can get some more. We really need to have one with a ship and one with an aircraft on it. That way we have all of the forums covered. In other words, if you're building a tank, you can use the tank badge, an airplane can use the airplane badge, etc............. The generic one can be for a person building more than one subject. At the moment I'm contemplating building a target to go along with my F-80 and possibly even a ship. One of the advantages with having an open finish date is being able to build more than one kit So, will this idea fly? (I couldn't make it easy and pick one, could I??)

Hi. I saw the badges for this in the armour forum, and I wonder if I could join in.

I have a DML BMP-2 on its way to me, but this build has plenty of armour already, while there is only 1 ship and all the aircraft are NATO. Whatever I do it will be something from the Soviet side, so I will let the people decide for me. Smile [:)] Any suggestions?

Is it too late to get in on this group build? I have a lot of unbuilt Russian kits that need an excuse to get pulled off of the shelf.

Hey roadkill, put me down for a U.S. sub. Either a boomer or attack. I don't know what scale yet though.
