Nice CF-18 Ga.modler, keep them pics coming!
I took a photo of the Boly's fuselage halves, one, I've sanded off the rivets, the other still has to be done. I don't think the pic turned out very well though.

as promised from lastnight more pics of my now finished cf-18 hornet. no your eyes do not play tricks on you. thier is no ejection seat in the cockpit. I stink at painting ejection seats. but i have some 20 of them being painted by a fellow on the arc site for me for my future hornet builds. so here it is the cf-18 in candain markings.Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

Progress to report Smile [:)]. All the major assembly & painting is now finished & the bird is sorta beginning to look like a Sea Fury. Got the first topcoat of Future on, so decals will follow soon. Here's a peek.

Looks great as usual Rick but what's that white line above the wing root on the fuseage?

Thanks Dave. No white line there, it's just a reflection of the flash on the Futured surface.

Hey Rick, I'm going to be building the same Hobbycraft Sea Fury for another GB soon. I've heard that Hobbycraft aren't exactly the best kits out there.

Have you had any issues with yours up to this point? I'm also using the Cutting Edge interior and exterior detail set. I know you said the wheel wells were a little tricky.

What you have so far looks great. I'll be watching this with interest.

Building Now:

1/48 Academy Bf-109G6 - 100%

1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A - 5%

Upcoming:

1/48 Revell F-14D

Thanks for all the kind words guys, much appreciated. Some of the decals are on & drying at this time.

arki30, No real issues with the kit. The Cutting Edge detail sets add some much needed detail. I had a little trouble figuring out how to install the Cutting Edge replacement wheel wells as I found the instructions a little vague. Finally, I put the instructions aside & just did it my way & it worked out fine. Also, if you decide to use the CE drop tanks, be aware that the mounting pin spacing does not match the kit parts. If you drill out the locating holes per the kit instructions, the holes & pins won't match up. I found that out the hard way Black Eye [B)]. It's an easy fix, just a little irritating.

Jay your right the quick post was nice.  How's the Bolingbrook comming, that's quite a bit of sanding you have to do.

With Xmas around the corner I might hint for an airbrush  any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Well, I'm back in too but my signature didn't make it.  I will have to go home tonight and read the faq. Sad [:(]

Edit:  Never mind, the Sig is back and I didn't even have to read the faq.  Big Smile [:D]

Marc, I've only ever used a Paasche H which is reliable and easy to use but won't give you tight squiggle patterns and fine lines.  I'm sure others can give you better advice but it's a good starter AB.

Well, I managed to stumble my way back in also.  My join date & post counts survived, but my sig tag hasn't yet shown up.  That & the welcome screen has me as a Mrs. rather than a Mr. ????  I think I will miss the quick reply feature & I do wish the smilies were pictured.  Will have to figure out how to add an Avatar as well.

Rick I removed the text from my sig along with the old codes to make the text a different colour and my sig image showed up.  Maybe I just got lucky!

I still can't get my sig to show up.  Angry [:(!]

Thanks, Rick, for the heads on the Sea Fury.  I'll watch out for the drop tank issue.
