Jboutin, I did some looking around and I'm a definite. I will be building one of the CF-104 kits from Hasegawa in 1/72.

Cool cdclukey, your in!
So after seeing what you came up with for badges, this is what I had in mind
I like the idea of the arrow badge.
This way people have a choice as to what subject they are doing. Obviously each image is Canadian, the ship is the HMCS Iroquois (as if you can't tell!), the planes, are obvious a CF18 and Avro Arrow and the armour is a Lav25.
Hope you guys like it. Maybe someone should make an executive decision?

I don't think someone should make a decision, In the Cold War GB we have a bunch and use whatever, besides I like my 'Arrow'

They look great Jay! I think we should use the basic frame as the standard and then let everyone insert a picture of whatever they are building. Like this for mine except I changed the text to make it more readable (but will change it back if you don't like it ).
If anyone needs help editing the badge with their own picture I'd be glad to help.

Great idea razor, as Captain Jean Luc Picard said once (or twice):
"Mr. Data, Make it so!"
Okay everybody. Do what Razor did above and put in a pic of what you are building, or just use one of the badges that have been offered, which ever you like. (I would suggest using the frame Razor did up as mine the words are kind of fuzzy )
hmmm... 6 months till the GB, I don't know if I can hold it until then, I'm so looking forward to this one.

Me either... but I have the advantage that if I intend on doing the Lancaster from Hasegawa it won't be out until September. You know you could do a pre-build warm up like they did in the Battle of Britain GB! It's not like you have anything else on your plate !!

Hmm.. nothing else on my plate, well lets see, gotta finish my typhoon and hurricane, have a Beaufighter TF.X (Which I want to do as a Canadian one too), I also have two 1:144 scale models I want finish up as a "Classic Opponents" type of thing, they are a f-4 phantom and mig-21. Then all the things that come with being a new home owner , like yard work etc in the summer. My wife kindly asked "do you really think you'll have time to model this summer?" ...little does she know...
Anyway Dave, could you take these images and put them into badges for me, my software is a little archaic (MSpaint) I wanted to see what they look like.

First of all, Congrats on the new house but secondly... sounds like you are going to be getting up in the middle of the night after your wife is asleep to get any modeling done. Hope you don't get caught . LOL How long did you say you've been married?
Here are your badges you requested.

Thanks Dave, I think the first one looks nice in my updated sig patch hunh? (I tried to do it in paint but it came out blocky and ugly, what did you use, corel?) I like your new sig patch btw.
My wife and I are coming up to our 8th anniversary! WOW time flies when you're haveing fun. Also, technically our house isn't new it was built in '97 but it is the first house we own, er ...that we pay the bank for the right live in it!
I'm actually looking forward to making the place "Ours". talk2ul8r

Correction: Dave it is comming up to our 7th Aniversary this May, oops, if the wife found out she'd have me head!
I think I will do my Beaufighter as a warm up build over the summer. The Arfix kit even comes with Canadian decals so I think'll I'll try to use them.

I think the time suits me quite well. Hopefully I have time to finish (most of) the other GB's I'm in!
So, may I join! For this GB, I will build a 1/72 Italeri #084 kit as a Bell CH-146 Griffon in SFOR/CF service in Bosnia.

thats interesting, on the weekend i bought the exact same pair of planes, with the same idea, but they're 1/32! just thought it was a bit of a coincidence. bet yours are done first
anyway, I'd be into getting in this build, Id do a monogram 1/48 voodoo from 416 Lynx sqn, and/ or CF-18 with fancy leading edge decals. Probably the voodoo, since I've been wanting to build it for ages, and finally found 2 kits in one weekend on a trip.

matt-alberta and gdarwin, count your selves in.
Matt, did I say mig-21? I think I had a big brainfart or something, I have a mig-23, not a mig- 21! I think the voodoo will be really cool! I built one in a previous life...

Just checked out the Maple Leaf Up site as forwarded above... most excellent, if you've a passion for the Canadian stuff, check it out!
I've an Italeri M113A1 mouldering on the shelf here. A while ago I did one up (I think it was a Tamiya) as a Canadian Forces, Europe, but it died when my nephew got it. This one'll be a UN Peacekeeping APC; I figger also the paintjob'll be simple, at least. Lots of ejector marks tho'... bah. I will survive.

alex2005, welcome aboard!, I kinda like the UN colours, very different even though it is plain, it seems to make a statement.
Swedish Mick, consider it done!

What is the point of bumping? does it make the list go to the next page? BTW hows the move going? when do you head out to the interior of BC?

It just puts it back at the top of the list where people can see it as opposed to being buried on page 5 or 6. Okay, its not really as fun as I thought it would be but keeps it where people will see it.
