DYT!! You have realized amlost every single one of my dreams! Next thing I know youll be leading the communist revolution and sleeping with my girlfreind!!

Ok, I painted those grills black and am in ther process of weathering the gun. I also found something out: When I thin down the paint from my brush, the thinner gets all black and disgusting. Now if I slather this on the kit, let it dry just a little, and then wipe it away, some of the black gets stuck in the cracks and corners of the kit. Is this what they call a "blackwash"? If so, Can I use this for armor weathering?

And if you have an hour or so to kill, I would recommend you take a look at these. They are two classic soviet silent movies, October and The Battleship Potemkin. They are very good, both directed by the Soviet film genius Sergei Eisenstein. They have been given musical scores, and some limited sound effects. Oktober has subtitles for the story slides, while all the slides of Potemkin have been replaced with english. But the story is clear anyway. Oktober relates the stroy of the 1917 revolution, from the czar's overthrow, to the provisional govermnet, to the siege of Petrograd, toithe Petrograd Soviet and the degfeat of the provisional government. The Battleship Potemkin is about The mutiny of the crew of the Potemkin during the 1905 revolution.

Guys keep your fingers crossed, I might be getting and airsoft gun! It's from a chinese company. I know you're all gonna be yelling at me GET AN AEG FROM TOKYO MARUI!!! But I dont have that kind of cash. So i'll either be getting an AK-47 AEG or an MP5 AEG or I'll save up money for another year and get the Tokyo Marui Beita Spetsnaz AK rifle.

Ok then. In a fit of nonconformity, I decided to paint it steel instead of gunmetal. So I'll proibably just go about slathering some dark gunk in the little holes.

And if you want it to look like it's been fired numerous times, go at it with some black pastel.

paint it black, then drybrush with gunmetal, then more lightly with steel. that seems to work for me

DAy 1- WOW!!! i didnt know there were so MANY HOLES in the tomcat!! not from the kit but how i built it (4 yrs ago) i didnt glue things on straight (i finnished the entire model in 2 hrs) i had to patch the entire thing including 4 HUGE holes!! i had to sand the old paint off, take all the missile mounts off sand and remount, had to take the cockpit apart and paint it!, and i had to scratchbuild two lost parts; a small missile mount and an ELEVATOR!! i made it outta balsa and filled up the grain with putty..
last night i had a dream about sanding....there is an INSANELY huge amount of sanding on this kit!!! i also scratch built a sparrow missile for no aparent reaeson, just outta boredom.
DAY 2 (today) didnt do much cuz had to get ready for trip to poland....
painted the missiles, sanded some more. now i have to finnish sanding, paint, find the decals, weather, and then ill be D U N! DONE!

weathering is completed on my 109. just needs 1 more flat coat, fianl assembly and installation of canopy.

Progress on little T-90 Horrible side skirt fit. Near impossibe to fit. Will take dremel to it and hide with mud thereafter....

Yeah, that's what I meant YG, some quick sanding and a little respray should fix everything.

Reb, I know about the rough cast texture on the sherman turret, I was in fact referring to the ripples.

Good news though, model point US has shipped incredibly fast and the late type roadwheels for my T-90 conversion have already arrived. This mammoth project should be underway by midsummer.

tanky, the 6th pic YG has is actually correct. The Sherman turret had a very ruff texture to it. I am pretty sure the kit was molded that way.

nick, I can add that to the list too.

oooo, now off to start my Tasca luchs! Been waiting for quite a whileBig Smile [:D]
