We don't want to get too complicated mate. I'd definitely be up for giving it a go, but I'm a bit worried about getting it to the end in one piece. If this one works out, we'll definitely have to give another one a go. Maybe with different jobs for people next time.

Would be cool to get it into FSM though, wouldn't it?

QUOTE: You guys have any photos of the progress so far? This sounds like an interesting build!

Check back in a few days. I should have some pics of the completed cockpit up soon. Got most of the detail painting done, so I'll give it a flat coat tommorrow, then post the pics hopefully.

Sounds like a great ide a to me.

Like the idea of anoth, though not sure about delicate PE either survibing a journey around the globe, or my work bench for that matter!

Yeah i think thats a pretty fine idea indeed gentsThumbs Up [tup] I'm already secretly planning the next kit to go around the world, thats of course if you fellas are up to itThumbs Up [tup] I would also like to submit a story with all the pics to FSM, maybe the editor will give us a couple of pages to showcase it, after all it's a new concept and it would be a great plug for the forums......

Jules we must be on the same wavelength, I was thinking of exactly the same thing.

Oh and or course I'm up for another one.

Tom that's a brilliant idea, even if it doesn't work it's still a brilliant idea and it sure as heck beats seeing how many live scorpions you can stuff into your shorts in order to get in to Guiness.

Cheers

now what's so wrong with that?? Besides, they lie real quiet in there in the dark, it's when I unzipped.... nevermind.... Wink [;)]

Ah.... now we know how you got put in happy acres..... got caught un-zipping in public did you? And when they found 52 scorpions in your pants they shoved you in the care of Kremps.Propeller [8-]

Gees... I go away for a couple of days and you guys have degenerated into stuffing scorpions down your pants and un-zipping in public. Actually, sounds like fun but no scorpions around here and I don't think I can get too many rattle snakes down my pants.

the Do 335 Arrow sounds great as does the FSM article and Guisness record thing. We will have to experiment with our shipping technique on this first kit and then see if we think we can tackle all that PE.

Dave - it was an honest mistake... and when I felt them crawling around.. well......

Daniel - I actually commited myself to happy acres... but that's between you and I... life on the outside was just too tough without Kremps guiding hand! Wink [;)]

It's ok Tanky, My batteries tale 3 days to charge as wellWink [;)] Apparently so do Pingy's...... NSW boys eh always behind to Eight Ball [8]

BTW i am a little concerned about whether or not the PE in the Pit of the Do 225 would survive the journey but if we leave off the little handles and levers and only put in the I/P and side panels it might be OK , it will all depend on how the 109 fairs up in the endThumbs Up [tup]

Okay, Okay......I fianally decided it was time to take some pics of the cockpit. There's a fair few small levers and PE parts in here, so we'll find out how well they stay stuck on soon. Alot of the detail is either styrene strip, stretched sprue or spare PE parts. The rudder pedals are spares for a FW-190 and the seat back is from a 190 too. I'm pretty happy with it. I'll just give it a flat coat tommorrow and send it to Darren on Monday. I think I'll close the fuselage before I send it so everything is safer. Hope you like it so far....

Fram what I read we actually have to do the deed first THEN apply to them.. which is why I propsed pasting signs by the city limits sign with the kit in hand... and receipts from the post office etc... also I recommend pics of the build at each place, preferrably with a pic of us working on it...

It would be our big "war story" haha... something to tell the kids when they need to be impressed!!

I'll see what I can do about some pics to throw in with the kit when I send it to Darren. Might have to wait a few extra days before I mail it to him though. Which works out well, because I didn't get any work done on it on the weekend. I will finish it one day.......

It's still sitting on my workbench. I finally got around to giving it a flat coat yesterday, so hopefully I should have the fuselage together by tommorrow or Tuesday. Then it'll be off to Darren. Sorry about being so slow, but hopefully I can get it done soon.

BTW, thanks for the kind words Sean (even if it was a week ago)Thumbs Up [tup].

I actually got around to finishing mu bit of the build tonight. I haven't glued the fuselage together, just taped it so the pit would be safer. I'll let Darren take care of all the assembly parts (and probably all the filling and sanding......Big Smile [:D]). It'll go in the post tommorrow, so Darren should get it around Wednesday or Thursday.

You'll be asking him to finish it nextWink [;)]

Daniel Don't worry about taking your time, it'll take me months to get anything done!

Sorry I haven't been around much the lately guys, I had a complete Dilbert week at work last week, and spent the weekend ripping rotten flooring out of the bathroom.

And who says the fun never ends?

I'm glad I'm not doing the filling and sanding on this kit. It looks like there will be a fair bit to be done. It's not the worst kit for fit ever, but I'm guessing it will need a bit of work to get it looking right.
