hmmmm....... I forgot this GB ended so soon. Just noticed the end date a minute ago and nearly bogged myself. This might end up being an overtime effort.

sigh. I WILL finish this GB.

What with AP exams I haven't built in a week. I will be sure to get pics up of my progress over the weekend in between cramming for AP Physics.

Darren, will you behead me if my project is  a little late? Smile [:)]

How did May get here so fast?!  I've got the 2-Paks done, just need to get some paint on them.  I am nowhere near done on the Stormovik, and the little diorama I have in mind for the Paks will not be done either Black Eye [B)]. But, hey, at least I finished what I said I would finish for the GB! Big Smile [:D]

As always, I hope to have some pictures soon.

Bob & Karl - Excellent builds fellas. Very impressive work by both of you.

Believe it or not, I have actually got some progress to report. I'm nearly finished on my cockpit and wheel wells. I'm hoping to have it all closed up by the weekend. I'll try to remember to take some pics before I close it all up though.

Guys, thanks for the kind words.

Well I'm done for this GB, time to move onto the Atlantic GB, and make some progress on that Greif.

That doesn't mean I won't be popping into in on though.

Scott, everything looks fine to me but I can only see it from top down, how about a side on shot?

Btw, I really like the spanner as a kit holding device, I'll have to remember that one Thumbs Up [tup].

Heading into the home stretch with my 1/48 Tamiya FW190A8.  I just sprayed on a gloss coat of 70% Future/30% Isopropyl Alcohol.  I'll be putting on the decals either Wednesday or Thursday.  It's a great kit, but a little frustrating as this was my first time attempting mottling.  I'm less than thrilled with the results, but it was a good learning experience.

Bob,

Really nice job on the Panther.  You are all to correct about the ability to really 'do it up' with armor models, but I really like the clean look you have going.  I particularly like how your camo scheme came out.

Kudos to you.Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]

Great work on the trimming the trail legs btw, you would never know they had been snipped.

Chris how about a photo of the half track, I kind of like to see how it looks now after all the problems you had with it.

tornado, you are welcome to join us if you think you can finish one of your builds before the May 8th deadline and just to let you know that a persons modeling skill has nothing to do with join a build and having some fun.  By the way exactly which kit did you plan on doing?

If you look back a few pages in this post or do a search you will find lots of explanations of putting images in your signature file.

Karl it was worth the wait, great build Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup].  That one will certainly make a nice addition to your collection.

Cheers

Hey all,

Just a quick update - things are wrapping up nicely with my two PAKs (now I sound like a deceased rapper...Wink [;)]Mischief [:-,]

Here are a couple of pictures from a week or so ago when I took the extra 13 mm off the trail legs of the Dragon PAK.  Now they are the same lenght as the Tamiya (actually just a tad shorter), and to scale.  Can't add too much more now because the baby is crying so I have to go!!

This first one shows the legs with the section removed:

This shot shows the legs reconstructed, minus the extra length:

Looks great Bob!!!  awesome work on that Panther.. I was too much of a wimp to finish mine, and decided to buy me some Fiulmodel tracks later as the ones from Dragon didn't want to cooperate...
