STUG61: I think it was something about having to live in a rolled up newspaper in the middle of the street while eating cold poison...

Following the "treachery and experience defeating youth and enthusiasm" line, I think we each ought to do several kits for this build. Of course, we wouldn't actually build them during the period of the group, but merely claim to have done so in order to shame the whippersnappers Big Smile [:D]

I knew that Geoff, I just didn't want you to think I wasn't paying attention.

I used to know what attention meant. But when I retired from the Air Force, the word had little meaning for me, and has less and less every day.

Oh, Geoff, I'd forgotten why I started this entry. I wanted to let you know that I knew you knew the correct spelling. I hope you know what I'm talking about. I suppose I should have quoted what you said at the top of this entry, but I forgot to do that. And anyway, I really didn't want to have to retype what you wrote. You know, they really should come up with some way we could just copy what someone else said. Or better yet, some sort of button you could click to copy their entry into a new one for you. That would make it so easy. Maybe they could even come up with someway to make it look different than the regular part of your entry so it could be distinguished better. It really shouldn't be that hard to do. I wonder if the administrators will pick up on this and get to work on that.

Oh, Geoff, you got my name wrong on the first page. It's WIPW, not WJPW. I know it's a simple mistake, but I'm kind of sensitive about such things these days.

What is this thread about anyway? Oh yeah, well I think the new Tristar Pz IVD is that it's going to be a super kit, in my opinion.

Hey Geoff, here's a wild, crazy idea. Why don't you try and see if there's any interest in setting up another Old Guns group build. I missed that one last year and I'd really like to take part in it. I don't know what kit I'd do yet, but count me in if you decide to do it.

Thanks.

Oh, and my id is WIPW, not WJPW. Not a big thing, though.

W{I,J}PW: I can let you have some of my Alzheimer's medicine, just as soon as I remember where I put it.

(At this rate, we're going to have 1000 posts before anybody opens the box on their group build kit Big Smile [:D])

This sounds like a group that needs my OF index.
80 and up =Master Old Fart
70 and up = Senior Old Fart
60 and up = Old Fart
50 and up = Honorary Old Fart
40 and up = Apprentice Old Fart (can be reduced to 35 for this GB)
Under 40 (35) = To young to know what it's all about

Put me down for something. If I decide now, I will undoubtedly forget by November. What was it I was supposed to do?
The only thing worse than forgetting to zip up after going pee is forgetting to unzip before.

"Apprentice Old Fart"........... I like it.

Bill........ maybe YOU should be running this. hahaha. so does that mean you are doing a tristar IVD for this or was that just a ramble?
hahaha

good idea on the groupbuild, bill. I'll start it when this one nears completion.

Doesn't mean anything of the sort. But I do have one on pre with GM. To paraphrase Oddball, it's supposed to be one Mother beautiful kit!! But we'll see how it goes. I've got lots on the shelf and lots on pre so I won't be hurting for a kit. Big problem will be deciding which one to break out. Pretty much guarantee it won't be a wingy thingy, though!!

btw...I think under 35 should be "Doesn't know how to..." lol

And Geoff, I'll really be looking forward to the GB. Thanks.

Hmmm much fun to be had, I sense...!

How about Yoda? For a badge, that is... You don't go much older than that! Wink [;)]

But then again, the Simpson-idea is allways a good one!

I vote for the Yoda idea also. I will have to invent a new OF category for him.

I love the yoda badge, but think that the "Old Guns" text needs to be lighter rather than the red you have. At least, my old eyes cannot read it very well.
