W{I,J}PW: I can let you have some of my Alzheimer's medicine, just as soon as I remember where I put it.

(At this rate, we're going to have 1000 posts before anybody opens the box on their group build kit Big Smile [:D])

STUG!!!!!!! that's the spirit, pops!........ hahaha. I may do 2 or 3 myself.

I knew that Geoff, I just didn't want you to think I wasn't paying attention.

I used to know what attention meant. But when I retired from the Air Force, the word had little meaning for me, and has less and less every day.

Oh, Geoff, I'd forgotten why I started this entry. I wanted to let you know that I knew you knew the correct spelling. I hope you know what I'm talking about. I suppose I should have quoted what you said at the top of this entry, but I forgot to do that. And anyway, I really didn't want to have to retype what you wrote. You know, they really should come up with some way we could just copy what someone else said. Or better yet, some sort of button you could click to copy their entry into a new one for you. That would make it so easy. Maybe they could even come up with someway to make it look different than the regular part of your entry so it could be distinguished better. It really shouldn't be that hard to do. I wonder if the administrators will pick up on this and get to work on that.

Oh, Geoff, you got my name wrong on the first page. It's WIPW, not WJPW. I know it's a simple mistake, but I'm kind of sensitive about such things these days.

What is this thread about anyway? Oh yeah, well I think the new Tristar Pz IVD is that it's going to be a super kit, in my opinion.

Hey Geoff, here's a wild, crazy idea. Why don't you try and see if there's any interest in setting up another Old Guns group build. I missed that one last year and I'd really like to take part in it. I don't know what kit I'd do yet, but count me in if you decide to do it.

Thanks.

Oh, and my id is WIPW, not WJPW. Not a big thing, though.

STUG61: I think it was something about having to live in a rolled up newspaper in the middle of the street while eating cold poison...

Following the "treachery and experience defeating youth and enthusiasm" line, I think we each ought to do several kits for this build. Of course, we wouldn't actually build them during the period of the group, but merely claim to have done so in order to shame the whippersnappers Big Smile [:D]

Geoff, it's wipw, not wjpw. Thanks for adding me in. As for doing a Tiger, I'm really not sure. It depends on what I've got going as well as what I've been working on. I'll get a wild hair about doing something, I'm sure. I've got so many frappen' kits hanging around not to mention the ones I've got on pre-order, it's rediculous. Who knows, maybe I'll decide to do one of the Sherman's with a full off resin conversion. Now that WOULD be dangerous!! Thanks for putting this together.

Sign me up, Sir Geoff. It'll take me that long to figure out what to build.

Let's see...Tiger, SdKfz 251, Tiger, SdKfz 7, Tiger, Flak, Tiger, Jeep, King Tiger, Sherman, King Tiger...

Hmmm, I seem to have a plethora of Tigers...but that may or may not be the deciding factor!!

Thanks for the build.

But since when does 35 qualify as being old??? I've got paint older than that on my shelf!

If you guys don't mind me building auto stuff, then I'm in. Just started in the MotoGP GB as well, busy with a see-through Porsche and aiming towards starting my first 1:24 F1.

So when's this one starting again...? That might help me make up my mind as to what I'll do for a subject. Might shift the Revell F1 away for something else.

I would like to get in on this too, but I will decide on a kit later. If I pick a kit now, I will probably either want to build it sooner, or find a kit I like better closer to the starting date. I don't need to worry about not having a kit, though, becuse I figured out that it will take me at least 188 more years of full time buildng to finish my stash. [:0]

Probably going to be a wing thing, unless everybody else is doing armor. Then I will probably go with one of the gazillion UM or PST kits I have. (BT-5 looks like fun)

Old age and treachery will overcome something, but I forgot what it was...

Since I easily meet the minimum age requirement sign me up. Think I'll do something based on the 38(t) chassis...either Maquette's Marder II or Aufklarungspanzer with 2cm gun.

Hey guys I updated the list. The subject is anything you want to build. The idea of this build is to get us geezers together to show up the young'uns...... Keeping it as an open build will hopefully get more participants. The dates run 11/1/05 - 5/1/06

Maybee this is the place to progress the Academy MK3 Stuart then, sure as hell an old gun.
Looked so cool in the box but yesterday I was told its an "old" out of scale Tamy rebox...
I'll enjoy the build anyhow, no doubt about that :)

I just looked at my drivers license and learned that I'm well qualified for this group build Wink [;)]

Put me down for a Tamiya 1:35 Churchill (probably a Mk. VII, but I've got a while to decide).

I'd much rather be a young gun, but such is life. I'm in with some kit or other. Is it armor only? If so I'll find something on my ever growing stack. Otherwise, I just picked up the Dragon U.S.S. Essex and might give it a go for this.

Just let me get my walking stick... (not on the frame yet! Wink [;)] ) Is there any theme to this type of build? Or just good clean fun?
