No internal parts, just a 7pc Resin kit.

I would love to see a Halo/Haro model! I actualy really enjoyed the massive number of annoying Haro in Gundam SEED. "I CANNOT ACCEPT THIS!" - not the best translation in the subtitles but still amusing.

I actually like using "collectors" items. Opening up, punching and playing old wargames from the 60s and 70s. Painting up kits from the early 80s. They're treats that are worth more than the money people will pay for them just to sit in the box. Unless I'm not actually excited about it, then the money would probably be better.

I agree on both accounts. I laughed out loud reading the subtitles in Gundam Seed. Still have to get Seed Destiny, however. Smile [:)]

Haro was in Zeta as well!!!! hehehe. yea i hated the multi-colored overly infesting haros from SEED.

Dude, if you haven't seen destiny yet, it's awwweesome! 'cept for the mid part where I kinda just skipped around cuz it got too boring. What's up with all these different sides and stuff??!!! I was so confused.

Man am i late for this one!! My My 144 Gundam Leopard just won second place in dios at AWA [Anime Weekend Atlanta last month!! But hey you guys may already know but if you have a Big Lots/ Odd lots store they have 1/144 scale gundams for $1.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they have a few of the non-jointed low grade Gundam Seed kits and they have the G gundam kits. They also have the SD gundam kits. i picked up a Gundam Rose that i have been aching to put together but in black instead of blue and a stiff legg buster gundam. Plus i bought a HG 1/100 Gundam Leopard Destroy at the con but i don't feel like tackling that monster. Bottom line though I have a stack of unbuilt and forgotten gundams in the corner!LOL (I'll get around to reading all of this thread eventually...)

You mean no Big Lot / Odd Lot here in NJ? That sucks. Don't we have Job Lot? Is that the same? I'll check out the Toys-R-Us next time see what they have. We had a great hobby shop near by, but that guy retired long ago. Sad [:(] Sad [:(] Now all we have around here are RC shops. I have to go into NYC for anything good and most of those good shops have closed too. Sad [:(]

My GB Progress:
I pulled out my Turn A Gundam box, opened it up and took a bunch of shots of the parts. I also have a 1/144 scale version of the Turn A Gundam that I shot along with it for comparison. I'll clean them up and post them tomorrow.

Since they will use the same color scheme, I'm going to build and paint it at the same time as the 1/100 scale one I'm already committed to. I think it should be a cool comparison.

Here's a link for the 1/144 scale Turn A Gundam Kit.

well if all else fails for toys r us i would check their web site and special order it to the store. though it might be easier and cheaper to go to www.gundamstoreandmore.com or try ebay.
for ebay i would recomend tisinc, gundamproshop, gundamwholesale and h_ray. seller wise.

You're welcome! you guys may also want to try Toy Liqudators if you have one in your area. I have noticed over the years All of the leftovers and overstock from Kay Be ends up at Toy Liqudators and some at Big Lots...

progress report:
the base coat of green has been sprayed onto
the Mobile Suit GuAIZ.... would have done some assembly,
but my little brother decided he wanted 2 build a Gundam w/ us,
so i pulled out a kit 4 him 2 work on.
he built the bandai 1/144 Blue Destiny kit basically all by himself,
i'll post pix asap.
as 4 mine, i'll probably start painting the next color ( which is also
green) on2 the model b4 starting assembly, unless i should b
worried about seams showing & do assembly, then paint ?
is there a typical order 4 doing this stuff ?

FG,

Since Gudams are snap together kits with poly-cap attachements for appendages, I assembled my Ez-8 first just to see it toghether and to get an idea what parts will show and not show when assembled. I'm in the process of filling seams and I need to make space in my basement for airbrushing it. Maybe now's a good time to start building a cheap spray booth.

Our old spray booth is dismantaled and most parts are missing but the big fan is still hooked up to the window. I guess I'll take some big boxes and make a temp one.

My GB Progress:
I had the wrong settings on my camera so I'm reshooting the parts today.

Where's the Macross GB at?

@Everyone
Ran out to Big lots and for a little over $7 I got a 1/144 Wing Gundam 0, a SD W-Gundam Zero Custom (fer cute!), and a SD RX-78GP03D with the Dendrobium... very cool! I'll get pic up shortly.

My GB Progress:
I've dumped all the cleaned up images on one of my web sites. I'll make a thumbnail page at some later date.
http://almejias.heyyoukids.com/Gundam-GB-Turn-A/

I found it easier to scan the parts, but I need to really clean the glass on the scanner! I also put up a couple of shots of my photo setup. Let me know if there is anything else you'd like shots of.

Alright, latest score:
http://public.fotki.com/ClumsyModeler/scale_models/misc_photos/

Wife's gonna kill me since I said I'd only get one kit... but it was such a good deal! Evil [}:)]Approve [^]Big Smile [:D]

EDIT: Can we add the SD Wing Zero Custom to my build list as well? I'm going to build it for my nephew in standard colors.

EDIT 2: Thanks MartianGundamModeler for the tip, forgot to thank you for it! Also, I've started work on the SD Wing Zero Custom, and have lived up to my screen name right after putting a new blade into my exacto knife! Ouchie! Stabbed my left index finger (and I'm a lefty Black Eye [B)] ) and if bled IMMEDIATELY.., actually got some on my table! [:0] The bleeding has subsided, but I think I'm going to hit up the grocery store so I don't reopen it trying to do more work on the little Wing Zero. Dead [xx(]

I bought that set of models earlier in the year, and to answer your question, yes it will definately be the Kenny Roberts Jr. version of that bike. Funny thing is, I haven't seen many reference pics anywhere. Doesn't matter much, as I don't want to build that kit until I feel a bit more confident in my skills.

I should clean up my work area and take a pic of my modest stash... it's so diverse it'll blow a few minds. Big Smile [:D]

I'm back from the store, and the Mrs knows about my purchases (called her at work and confessed my sins to her, lol) and she's not mad at all... but the first question out of her mouth was "How much?" Heheh, when I said $7.5X she thought that was per kit. When she found out it was the total she wasn't mad at all... then she instructed me to get her a 6-pack of Miller Lite. Whatta gal, huh? Cool [8D]

Did I hear the sound of a whip cracking? Wink [;)]

Speaking of... I just got a call from my Dad, he said he's not just coming for Xmas, he's coming for Thanks Giving and STAYING till Xmas. In fact he's coming next week! [:0] Now I've got to scramble to get everything out of the way so he doesn't poke around in any of my projects. I may have to buy him a kit or two to keep him busy and out of mine. Smile [:)]

My brother plans to come for Xmas also. We plan to work on some old Aurora Prehistoric Scene kits while he's here.

Thank you. Big Smile [:D] I do have to give credit to the blog site since they give you templates to work off of, and it's really easy to work on the blog. If you're interested you should make one as well.

ClumsyModeler: Thanks! Smile [:)]Blush [:I] It's actually a pretty humble setup. The roll of white seamless paper is hung with a broom stick. The table is just a cardboard big box. The tungsten lights, stands and clamps are at least 25 years old. The bulbs, umbrellas and paper are the only new items. I may switch to the gray paper.

As you can see I have a lot of other junk crowding my work space. Most of that is taken up by computer equipment from the last 2 decades, Gundam kits, vintage hot rod kits and other vintage toys from ebay. Smile [:)]

SHELVES! I need shelves![:0]
