Will,

I hope you find something before we start.

All,

I've decided to add an Airfix Grant/Lee with a VAC-U-CAST CDL conversion to my group build list.  Why not right?  So I'll build a newly tooled Mirage Lee and a brutally tooled Airfix Grant with resin add-on kit to make it look modern.

Grant

Hi everyone

I know i'm probably breaking an unwritten forum rule here or something , but can I pull out of the build? Oops [oops] I can't get my hands on either of the kits I wanted, when I joined I thought I could.

Sorry

Hi Will,

Sign - Welcome [#welcome]

To get the badge in your signature, go to your profile and place the code for the picture into the signature as you would a photo.  I usually post from ripway.com.   It is a free site.

I look forward to seeing your kits in the future.

Ray,

Welcome to the build.  The Dragon T34 looks like a nice kit.  I have one slated (for this summer) to build as a captured german.

Mr. Wulff,

The badge looks good.

So is anyone going to venture into the realm of aftermarket stuff for this build?  Shock [:O]

Ok I figure the easiest change to the title for the badge would be "1/72 Armor Vacation GB 06" again thanks a ton for the help with the badge Big Smile [:D]Thumbs Up [tup]

Hey Chris, I havn't forgotten about the badge and I took a stab at it on the weekend.  let me know what you think.  I think I need to lighten up the background more so that the tank stands out more and I also need to fix up the text.  Can we come up with a shorter title for the badge?  I'd like to make the text a little larger if possible so that its readable.

I just realized my leopard  is a leopardIIA4 not an A2 the coolest thing i can see about the kit just from rummaging through the box is the pre colored tracks as the tracks are already metallic with the rubber pads black I think the winter cammo variations look more interesting so I may go with one of those TTFN

Well my Leopard showed up today and I could not stop myself from popping the lid on the box ( like I even tried! LOL Mischief [:-,] ) it looks like it is going to be a beauty. only 2 Months to go plenty of time to figure out what to do with paint job and such TTFN

Ammosid,

Welcome to the GB.

Wulff,

I bought the M1114 2 in 1 kit and it looks nice.  They give you 7 or 8 sets of markings with NATO or beige or both paint schemes.  There are PE panels for the kits, and the doors, roof, and windscreen are all molded in clear plastic.  They look and feel like the modern Dragon kits that I like so much.

Will,

Avoid the Dragon Abrams kits.  I give them the thumbs down.  The are not the modern Dragon kits that we've grown to love.  The kit looks cool when finished, but the Revell kit may be the better way to go.

Hi, fellow tread-heads! Cool [8D] I'd like to get in on this GB, too. I recently got a couple of 1/76 scale kits from Revell Germany, the old Matchbox kits that come with the little dioramas. If I can hold off until June from starting work on it, I'll be building the Wespe. Maybe I'll have time to build the little palm tree that comes with it! Yeah!! [yeah]

Will,

What brand of abrams are you making?  I've built a few, and I can give you a few warnings/pointers.
