Good Morning and Merry Christmas to all!!  Just one to add to the stash but it's a big one.  It's the 1/72 Revell Snowberry.  Yippieeee!!!!Propeller [8-]  I was thinking of not putting it on the list because it would take all year to build but what the heck.  Let's go for it.  So add that to the list along with the other two I picked up the other day.

1/72  Revell Germany Snowberry

1/72 Hasegawa Raiden (Jack)

1/72 Hasegawa P-40N

Merry Christmas to all!Make a Toast [#toast]       That was just for show, I will not add those kits to the build. I want to take my time with the Marder II and Panzer IV, and after building a Panzer I B and a Panzerjager I, I need a change in the suspension  Wink [;)]

I see our great lord kenny did not get a set of pantaloons as her royal greatness made him wait to get at his goodiesBig Smile [:D]  However it looks to me as the wait was worthwhile  thats a great haul kenny

I don't know about the coast Bear but there is plenty of snow here in the Valley.  We got a couple more cm of fresh powder yesterday.  Here's the view accross the street to the toboggan hill for those of you who are missing the white stuff.

Here is a pic of the Snowberry (try to ignore the big ugly toe if you can) Whistling [:-^]

You are really going to enjoy building that Snowberry Razor. I built one a little over a year ago. What do you think about that 4 piece hull? I put the 2 sides together first and then put the 2 sides together. It's nice that there is a keel ridge, I clamped it every couple inches the whole length.

I wanted the flags on there but did not know what to have them say... so i put my name : )

The platform the signal man is on was not in the kit. I put it there because the bridge did not end right... you will see what i mean.

Fun build... and best of all... it takes a long time : ) Sorta like ent speech in lord of the rings. Something is just not worth saying if it does not take a long time to say. Works that way for models too : )

Hey Paul, thanks for posting those pics.  Your build looks awesome. Thumbs Up [tup]  After my initial enthusiasm and going through the box once or twice I am beginning to realize what your mean about the Entish thing.  This will be a loooooooong build.  Just how long did it take you?  I may take this off the voting list as it is not one that I want to rush (but boy do I ever want to get startedPropeller [8-]).

It is difficult for me to say how long it took. A series of events in my life interupted my build for about 6 months. I would guess that it probably took me 4 months build time. I really like builds like this because of the length of build. Please don't remove it from your list... I would like to see you build it. I had a bucket of fun and I know you will too! I am hoping that people will vote for me to build my new addition of the Kriegslocomotive. It has just short of a billion parts too!

Dave I was going to post a pic of my green back yard when old man winter sneeked in a couple of cm of snow on the ground and still falling, they say were going to get 10 to 15 cm.  BTW thats one big ship your foot makes for a nice referance, your going to have some fun with that one.  Now I'm off to Ottawa see you all on the 28th.

Cheers

Hey everyone,

Welcome to all the new joins to the GB Sign - Welcome [#welcome].  This thing seems to be taking off!

Congrats to all of you who got bunches of stuff to add to your stashes (oh, and by the way, Kenny, if you don't want all those airbrushes, feel free to slide one my way...)

Razor, I gotta tell you, the additions to your stash are pretty impressive.  I think my vote might be changing - that PT boat might have to sit on the shelf a while longer...

As for my stash, I did not get to add anything on Christmas, but I do have tacit permission from the 'panted-one' (aka the wife) to pick up a 'few' Whistling [:-^] items in the post holiday sales, so I hope to have something to report in the next day or so...

I think this a great idea. I will definitely participate! I will build one of my 1/72nd Revellogram Bf109G-10 kits. I have 3 and received 3 of the Quickboost prop/ spinner detail sets for them for Christmas.

Thanks!

Paul, That is an awesome build - thanks for posting! My Dad gave me the Revell 1/72 U-boat but alass I have no place in which to work on it or to display after completion. It is truly an amazing thing what a 3 year old and an 8 month old can get into. So I have to be careful what what goes onto the workbench.

My condolences.  Here in the midwest. USA, we normally have some kind of snow on the ground.  But with the temps in the 40's, it's kind of hard to.  Now if it would do that until the end of feb, i'll take it.

What? Oh, I wouldn't try and sway the vote (imagine appropriate smiley here) It's just one of the coolest models I have gotten in a couple of years. I like big billion part models. And, oh yeah, as if it does not have enough parts... I'm getting a bucket of PE to go with it. : )

Merry Post-Christmas!
ANNOUNCEMENT: The Vote Table has been updated.
As always, please double check my work for accuracy:
http://il2windhawk.com/FSM/vote.html

I have carefully read through everyone's post and have added the
new kits.  It certainly looks like some of you have been good this
year! LOL.  Kenny, holy smokes!  Did you even get anything else
for Christmas!?! Smile [:)]  And RazorDWS, that Snowberry ship looks like
a really great kit: a nice gift.  Great work on it by Mr Results.

As for me?  Well, I didn't get any kits under the Christmas tree.  I
think the last time that happened I was twelve, LOL.  Getting no more
kits was a bit of a relief to be honest! LOL.  Having a big stash makes
me feel a bit overwhelmed, which is why I jumped at the chance to
attack it with this build.

ABOUT the VOTE

 kenny_conklin wrote:
i was pondering the idea of more than one build since it is a year long build i have no problem with that at all . we can either take the second most votes or we can go with a re-vote for the people that have done there kits. most likely the 2nd most will be the easiest.

I really like these ideas, but I request that we do the first one: that
is we vote all at once.  Updating the Vote Table takes a considerable
amount of time, and I'm sure that counting votes will be no small task.
I would like to just get it all done up front.

So when the vote happens, how about if everyone votes for their top 3
favorite kits in each person's list?  I will tally the votes for each kit and
put the numbers in that right-hand column if the Vote Table.  Will this
work out, OK?

When it comes to voting day (few days from today!), it would be IMMENSELY
helpful if everyone voted in the same manner & format.  Such as:

---------------------------

1
1:24 Aurora Dr. Zira
1:35 Tamiya Willys Jeep
1:35 Tamiya Famous Generals

2
1:48 Flying Carpet
1:32 Statue of Liberty
1:72 Ping Pong table

3
etc...
etc...
etc...for each member's number (see vote-table).

---------------------------

This will really help speed up the vote-counting process so that I can
publish the results A.S.A.P.  I know we're all excited to see the results!

I will update the Vote Table one more time on the Monday Morning, Jan 1.
Please have your last changes posted by then.

The suspense is killing me.  Can't wait to set this baby in motion!
