I've been AWOL for a while.

Working 16-hour days doesn't leave time for SLEEP, much less modelling.

The ME-262 looks fantastic, Wing_Nut.

Il2, I would have thought that the royal scribe job wouldn' be quite so onerous!  Lord Kenny, I think we need a Royal Decree restricting Il2's work hours to allow some modeling time.

I just found out that my basement got slightly flooded today!
And I was so looking forward to hitting the model desk tonight.

Hello all, Its been a while since I have posted anything and there are some very strong reasons for that. I will not burden you with the details, but some very serious, difficult and painful situations have risen in my life. The Lindberg Minesweeper that was voted on for me to build by the memebers of this GB, well I had intended to highly detail it, and would not want to do it any other way. My dad took me to see the USS Hazard when I was a kid and I have very fond memories of that time and I want that this model capture and represent that. If ya'll can find it in your hearts to let me build something simpler, something OTB I would be greatful.

PS. The Lindberg Minesweeper is a model of the Admirable class minesweeper, the USS Hazard is an Admirable class minesweeper. I was going to detail the model to represent the Hazard.

hey eric sorry to hear about the rough times you are going through . hope all works out for you with what may be going on in your life now.

as far as the build i would love to really see the minesweeper no matter how long it takes you but if you feel that you can not build it how you want i understand that.

to keep with the spirit of the build i know the USS Hazard is special to you but unfortunately it is not one of you listed kits. your next highest voted on kit was 1:32 Trumpeter Me 262A-1a .

now it is up to the rest of us out there to let us know what they think .

I actually got to put a little work on the Mig last night.
I'm working on quite a few projects in parallel, so often
it seems like NONE of them are getting done, but I think
every once in a while I make enough progress to be visible.

I'll post pics soon as my basement dries up! LOL.

Well, Flipper, I would love to see the minesweeper, but if you just can't do it, then the next item on the list seems reasonable. 

I'll actually be taking a modeling hiatus here soon, as now I'll be moving at the end of June.  I'll finish up my current project already started, but I just don't want to move any more built, fragile models than I have to.  I'll still visit and post though.

    But I would not go with any other than that. I would go against the voting system.

I'll agree with everyone else - next on the list would be reasonable. I can sympathize with you, Flipper, as far as the minesweeper is concerned. If it means that much to you, you ought to do it up right. - nuff said.

The Tiger continues slowly and I've decided to plumb the engine up some.
