Lookin good, Frank! Lookin really good! I'm drooling over the idea of paint on em!

And speaking of paint, I've finlly gotten the gloss white set on the wheel wells for the F/A-18E. The weather is a little cool and overcast. So it took a little while for the paint to cure here. But with that finished, I've just gone through and painted the hydraulic lines in the wheel wells (going for better detailing here). Certainly not easy painting this fine lines; even with a toothpick. But I'm hoping when I run the sludge wash through it (another first for me) It'll cover up some of the spots where the steel paint bled through.Blush [:I]

Of course, I'll post pictures of the finished product when  pull the masking tape off. It'll probably be a few days still. But I'm hoping to finish that part and move on to the next before next weekend (i'm only getting one day then).

Warmest regards,

Roger

Dave- Sorry!  Was going to head over there to help, but even in 5th gear she can only do about 5 mph.  I'll be there by the winter of 2012! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]  It's 44 degrees here right now (feels like 80 after the last two weeks!) but the temp is supposed to drop tonight.  They are calling for wind advisories now, with wind chills in the -15 to -35 degree range.

Bill- My vote goes for the Marlin, very cool bird! Thumbs Up [tup]

Have been busy on the twins this weekend, though they are starting to look a bit different.  You can see the clipped wings on the FAA bird in the foreground.  Fixed all of the offending seams yesterday, and got the wings mounted onto the nightfighter.  A little putty in a couple of spots, then finish sanding and rescribe a couple of details.

Finished the cowl flap details on the second one too.  Man, my eyes are killing me now!

Crankcase noses are done, waiting to be mounted onto the cylinder banks and then wired.

Didn't realize that photo was so dark!  Sorry.  I'll get a better one later. Thumbs Up [tup]

Cylinder banks ready and waiting for wiring.

Roy, that arctic air is curtesy of us Canucks.  Our weather here in the Valley is usually pretty mild, rearely gets down below -10C (14F) and this week we'll be seeing lows around -24C (-10F).  The cold weather colided with another system from the coast directly over top of us the last two days and dunped about 10" of snow on us which is also highly unusual but the kids are loving it.  Frank, could have used your snowblower.  I'm exhausted from all the shovelling and slept in til noon today.  Man I'm getting soft in my old age.

The weather here has been all over the place. Wednesday it was 60 or very close to it. Thursday and Friday we received almost 4 inches of rain.  Yesterday was 26 and windy.  TOday its around 40.  Tomorrow its supposed to be in the 50's.

Oh. and I've been battling a friggin' cold for about 3 days and its kicking my butt.Sad [:(]

Wow! That makes the inside of your nose  hurt. I got off work today about 4:30 AM it was 72F

Hanging at about 75 right now as per the thermometer outside my window.  Not sure what the wind chill is? There is a pleasant breeze though, I think if we had one day of that down here we would have mass casualties and lotsa dead cars.  You all stay snug up there.

Whoops I forgot! I vote for the Emily! Bondo! Propeller [8-]

Sorry to hear about the stormy seas, Bill. But I'm glad to hear that the Bondo ship survived! I've had a little bit of a similar experience last night. My Mother had called me up to see how I was doing (the whole parenting thing, ya know). In talking with her, it seems that they've had the same thing. I don't know too many of he specifics. Just alot of "your family is this" and "your family is that" kinda thing. So they aren't speaking to each other right now. Ever wanted to actually ground your own parents? Well, I do right about now!Banged Head [banghead]

I should confess, I haven't spent as much time at the bench this weekend as I woulda liked. I'm trying to get the detailing on the wheel wells done. But Just trying to get the base color down has been aggrivating! I'm trying to put down a gloss white coat over light ghost grey. So far 6 coat, and it still looks grey!!! Since I was getting a little frustrated with that, I've decided to take care of some chores here around the new place- I think I'll try and hit it again this afternoon.

Oh and before I forget.....Bill, my vote goes for the MarlinThumbs Up [tup]

Herc, the cockpit is looking great.  I like the tissue detail.  Adds something you don't see much of, great job.

Here is an update on my 1/72 F-14a. I am done detailing the pit and put her in. Over the control panel covers I used the tissue and glue to add a lil detail. Also, sorry about the pics not being totally in focus, I am still learning the features of my digital 35mm camera. I have been useing the macroo function.

I am very disappointed with the fit of this kit & overall interior detail. the raised panel lines are very fine though and are every where on this kit.

Thanks for looking,

Evil

Wow almost got down to page 2! Just cuz LT DR Namrednef is busy doing NAM stuff is no excuse to slack in yer duties! Tis the weekend and We cannot have this ship acting like a Sunday Night Bingo game with the Church choir ladies!  Avast to the nearest port the men are craving to relieve some of their stress!

Some one give Nam and Bondo their vitamin C tablet! Lest the scurvy overtake them. Wrinkled enough is their spirits now that someone has switched the rum keg with Veggie oil! I smell a rat! There be no mercy for the thief I say!  Who has stole the spirit from this here ship!  The CAG will be about and not happy with the current state of things!

The Captain is doing a fine job and has sent me a personal Christmas card note that the strange but loveable Dee  pinned to the wall!  Has a nice Jet Fighter on it and everything now what could one ask more for this season!

I hope all are well and there be no troubles as holiday memories tend to be as double edged as as the XO's dagger! As for here I am proud to call all ye my friend and that alone is reason to celebrate!

Looks like a scene from ,"The Wall" to me. A sure sign that the flattulant but far Bondo had recently past that way, me thinks! Now on to things and thoughts. What was I going to say? Ugh where is my gas mask?
