It's definately a good movie, but I tell ya, i really don't know anything about japanese aircraft. Though I admit between Franks build and the movie and other books read recently, I'm interested in adding a zero to the stash. But I just couldn't tell if it was a -2, -3 or whatever. Needless to say, something like that would demand research......

That Movie ( Midway) Has a special meaning in my house. For some reason when my kids were smaller they would run around pointed at the ceiling screaming " Enemy Dive Bombers!"  Right before the last Jap carrier gets it is when that line is in the movie I think. To this day including last night when I went to work the wife and kids were pointing at the TV yelling that. Just a throw back from days gone by for us I guess.

I can't believe you all got the wife building a model.  Who would figure?

Roger I am sure Frank will tell you that the Midway version of the Zero is an A6M2. At least he would if he were not a cardboard cut out. My only explanation for the fact he is always dressed the same.

Bed time for me now. Was a long night and now the sun is up!

Roger here presenting to you tonights non-sequiter.......

They got "Midway" playing on AMC tonight. I'd forgotten how much I loved the aerial combat footage in this movie. But it kinda sets Franks "Zeke" in 1/32 to mind.......
