Richie -  I have not gotten my March issue of FSM. An Electric Toothbrush ? - My Wife read something about another use for those in Cosmo also Shock [:O]

I have been working on the Monogram TBD-1 Devastator most of the day.  Started out the morning by masking and painting the last two sections of Canopy and worked on up to painting the Navigation Lights.

CS 1

CS 2

You can see where I left the clear~coat for when I stumble upon a color matching Star.CS 3

CS 4

CS 5All of the paints were Model Master Enamels and sprayed with my Good old Trusty Aztec A/B.

Thank You All for letting me Participate in this awesome GB. I am looking forward to the Next Subject. Thumbs Up [tup]

Spectacular Sean!  My son and I spent a good ten minutes taking it all in. You made that kit into the classic that it is! Can't beat it with a stick that is for sure. The best thing since sliced bread! Bow [bow]Thumbs Up [tup]Make a Toast [#toast]Pirate [oX)]

Thanks Guys, I might have to change my avatar to a pic of Mr. Clean as I just cant bring it upon myself to dirty one up.

Speaking of - Has anyone heard from Roy lately ? I have been waiting to see his results with the "Pro Modeler" wash as I wanting to maybe order and try some myself.

Frank - Thank you so much, I really enjoyed this kit. I really do want to build another one in the NMF pre war markings.

Dave - I am pretty sure I have the same decals in another kit. I just have not been up to sorting through the "Tomb of Kits" since the last time was doing so, and filled the living room with kits for my Wife to see.  Whistling [:-^]

Aaron -  You should not scare your son with clean builds like that. Laugh [(-D]

ATTENTION ON DECK!!!

Tis nearly the weekend, and I fear a surprise inspection may be coming from the CAG.  Let's be sure the decks are polished and the brass look of gold.   Mind those lines!  On your toes gentlemen!  Rum rations are nearly here.

Welcome back CAG. Wasn't you lurking around Waddington last week in either of Wartons Hawks was it?. Was parked up and saw them both take off to head home.

Looking at the photo I'd say at that hight over the round down the CAG's F4 may have caught the last wire. did anyone witness this?. as I seem to remember by RN tradition isn't there something about buying a round in the mess if one catches the first or last wire?.

All the best.

Greg

Welcome back aboard Sir!  I am glad to see you brought back a pair of 500 gallon tanks loaded with rum!  Well done. [:^]  That ought to keep the crew in high spirits for the weekend at least.

Nam- Glad to hear the move is progressing fairly smoothly!  Kept the gin and tonic within hand's reach I hope!  Good man.

Mac- Excellent work polishing up the CAG's silver.   Would hate to have him eating off of dirty utensils.  We may be a Merry bunch o' Pirates, but civilzed we still are!

Cheers everyone! Make a Toast [#toast]

Aye, excellent choice Sir! Just by happenstance I bought a book today in a Garage Sale, which is the equivalent of a sidewalk sale, and whilst perusing same" Complete Guide to WW2 Aircraft", yeah right, came acrost same Reginald Mitchell masterpiece, in this case in a pic taking off of "HMS Formidable" with the very curious code "theta" (actually an O with a diagonal thru it, like an old fortran "zero"), then 6G.

Research shows the go-to guys are CMR in the only scale that I build, 1/72 in which there's millions of the buggers, more than I can think. One side of me likes the Griffon, the other side of me likes a/c that don't cartwheel rightways into the carrier island at takeoff. That's the plan then and I'll follow orders. Any preferences appreciated, I'd say I'll probably not be able to find too many choices.
