Thanks fellas!

Nam- Unfortunately, I DO have to put the cowl over it as it's only the engine front.  Luckily, the Dauntless engine was quite visible inside the cowling so most of the detail should be visible.

LOL, I resemble that remark! Laugh [(-D]

Actually, I have been quite busy working on plastic this weekend.  The Corsair is built and awaiting the official start of the FAWGB, and I finished up the engine on the Dauntless this morning.

I have to admit, Quickboost makes some awesome resin stuff!  This is the first time I have tried one of their engines, and I must say it will not be my last.  I had originally opted to use the kit engine on the Corsair, but after building the resin one- me thinks I may have to find one for the Corsair as well.  Here it is, all wired up and ready for paint.  It was a PITA trying to drill .25mm holes in the round tube that is the plug wire carrier.  I thought about just drilling the holes next to it, but decided that if I did that I would always notice it and wish I had just taken the time to do it right.  All 18 plug wires were hand-formed of .15mm copper wire, and the pushrod tubes are made of .65mm 14 karat gold as that was the only wire I had on hand that was the right diameter.  Center prop shaft drilled and brass rod for shaft.  Here she is, enjoy! Big Smile [:D]

Darren- Your Hurri and Spit should keep you busy and off the streets for quite a bit.  But, just think of how great they are gonna look!

I finished building my Corsair today, but am gonna wait to start painting it until the FAWGB starts up.  Not much to see right now, so I'll spare you the pics! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Well..........after I get raving drunk and have a long sleep......I still have the MK.I Hurricane on the go- I am currently on a mission to fill and sand thye bloody thing into submission!

.........and I have my latest FAA project to get stuck into! The 1/32 Revell Seafire. Its re-issue of an old kit and its shows! This will require time and TLC to get a half decent result. I will be adding some Eduard P/E into the mix as well-wish me luck!

Dave,

Good idea- BACK AWAY FROM THE BENCH!!!

Wait until things settle down a bit.  Why have things been so difficult, if you don't mind my asking?

Best of luck to you Roy!  We'll be thinking of you and hoping everything turns out for the better.

Darren, I've been staying away from the bench lately for exactly those reasons.  It's been a very difficult week around here and I know some disaster at the bench is just waiting to happen.  Best to stay away until things calm down a bit.

Frank, those four days off in a row sound nice but it also sounds like they come at a price.  Enjoy the time off while you can.  Thumbs Up [tup]
