WOOOHOOOO!!!!!! Congrats Bondo me man!!!!!! Steady now, don't waver whilst the pins of the bars are so close to ye flesh mate!!! Party [party]Pirate [oX)]Make a Toast [#toast]Approve [^]

Darren, the decals in this kit aren't bad as far as the colors or anything, it's just that alot of them the multi colors didn't line up. Just looked at them again and I reckon that, no more decals than there are anyway, the couple that the colors don't line up won't really matter. Will look for AM decals anyway just to see what's out there.

Roy, thats a dandy Corsair there as well!!!! Mine never even aproached your's or Aaron's quality of build!!!! Well Done!!!

AAARRRRGGGG!  Something be smeeling of fish and it not be the waters!  I may have been born on a day but twearnt not yeasterday!  Who gets promoted on a Wedsday anyways and the Nam is still missing in action and I fear the worst!  A strange coinkydance that he just disappears and now the Bondo his partner in plunder makes the grade!  Yes I think something be most foul down in the bilges!

Knowing that most of you fear The newly promoted Capt I tooks it apon myself to do a bit of exploring!

I decided in his absence during the celebration to do a little search for clues in Capt Bondo's cabin.

When I saw his parking place I knew I was close!

I ignored the obvious warning signs until I found the door and used me skeleton key! The one Nam use to use to break into the rum lockers with.

Clenching my behind tightly I continued cautiously!

Hmmm everything seems normal enough... He has the usual taste in decorations.

Usuall entertainment

Hmmm seems apparent that he knew about the promotion.

[

Strange item in the chamber pot.

Nothing in the closets but T-shirts and underwear.

Hmmmmm looks like he likes to spend a lot of time in the galley!

He has not been gone long his mug is still warm

Wait  whats behind this poster a secret trap door!

Wonder why he put an air freshner here?

Slowly I open the door and.......

AAAHHHHHH! AHHHHH! I knew it! Pirate [oX)]

Congrats Captain! Well Deserved!  Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]Party [party]

Congratulations Bill, and don't worry- I have an extra frilly shirt for you until you are able to get more next time we hit port. Big Smile [:D]

Where's Nam?  I think someone needs to go find him.  How 'bout you John?  You're not too far away from him, are you?

Thank you me hearties, thank you and my eternal allegiance to the crew. I get my first pair of sea boots without holes in the soles, thankin' ye kindly. The CAG  has requested that I take advantage of my new mess table space, and build Two  subjects for the next phase of action. This be both RAF Coastal Command types; the Whitley and the Sunderland. 1/72, Frog and Airfix they be and a fine choice, Sir!

I'm completing my second GB in as many weeks- been on a roll as it's rained about 24 inches here lately. but this ol' Seadog can take a good blow! Be round tomorrow for drinks, but may be a little latish as Miss Bondo needs to be picked up from a dance at 10.300 and yers truly needs to steer an even course till after that. But I'll bring something special.

Cheers, mates!

OT - I was talking to my Father (Retired Master Chief) and he has been drinking out of the same USN coffee cup for last 68 years - three times a day faithfully. Well I did some Math and figured up the following - 6,980 gallons of Coffee has been consumed out of this one cup. Can you believe that ? Shock [:O]  I remember as a kid we never had to wash this cup as Dad would rinse or wash it after every use.

Anyone who can drink that much coffee is truely a hero! Especially cuz you had to let it perk way back when! Ah! rightly so!

Here is my father drafted into the Army on the same ticket draw as Elvis!  They are the same age you know. If you believe Elvis is still alive which I do Cuz Capt Bondo claims to have just seen him riding on a chariot pulled by pink elephants!

Then there was me in the Birth control glasses which don't work BTW.

I like the glasses your Father has on, way more classy looking then the BC glasses you had.

I should look through the cigar box of medals my Dad has, might be one in there for drinking Navy Coffee. He said all those stripes on his sleeve were from "Turkey Dinners"

I saw Elvis when I lived in Vegas mant times. Just older and bigger around he was.

'TIS THE WEEKEND!!!

Cap'n Bill will be dishing out the "special" rations this evening, but what say we hoist a couple mugs 'till he arrives?  I bet he shows up in freshly pressed knickers, and a white frilly shirt that'll be seen for miles! Shock [:O]  Here here! Make a Toast [#toast]

Fellas, I know yer a bunch o' Canadians an' Brits that roll up the sidewalks at dusk and tuck in, but sheesh it's Friday night.

The CAG is on patrol, the XO is on the bridge and Captain Roy is at the helm, leaving your loveliness to guard the wardroom.

Now hear this! A message from Captain Bondo!

He is about an hour southwest of me.  The weather has been a little crazy up here.  Last Sunday 8 inches of snow today it might hit 60.

Great video Bill, looking forward to seeing both those builds.  Hopefully your vintage sunderland kit will be kinder to you than my new release was to me.

John it is snowing pretty good here today.  Sad [:(]

Then as master of the foc'sle I order you assemble a detail with at least two marines and go get him, bound him into custody and remand him to the Brig in Portsmouth within 48 hours. Naked videos would be appreciated.

Well, no pics yet (will get some up by tomorrow night I think) but  got decals on, and I have started a little weathering.  I'll admit, this is my first real attempt at aircraft weathering, so y'all will either find it the sillyiest thing you ever saw, or at least "passable" Big Smile [:D]

As promised, some pics:

Basically all that is left is painting the canopies and attaching them.  Going to add a bit more weathering too.

I spoke with nam a little bit ago, and he is alive and well!  Still having computer troubles, but hopes to be back online soon.  Since we don't need to send out the search party anymore, i shall entertain them in my cabin this evening.  The things I do for this Gb... Evil [}:)]

Sharp Looking Wildcat Brian!  Top notch top notch!  Give that man a Fresca! Thumbs Up [tup]

Great news about the Namster!  I was concerned for a bit. Good thing we got that self sacrificing XO to keep things rolling! ( er so to speak)

I think that Sunderland and Whitely are going to be something special Bondo! De Captain Bill has done it again with sheer tenacity and moral ambiguity!  One must wonder what will be next ?

This time change is killer!

Brian, she is looking good mate!!!! Really awesome build there!!Thumbs Up [tup]

Frankie, as we used to gloat in the Civil Air Patrol to the pleabs, and Roger can attest, Rank has it's priveleges!!!!!Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

The big Airshow is firing up tomorrow here in Oz, at the airport where I work, Big Smile [:D] Might go see the night show friday night with the gf. I heard it's really good as well. She will have young ones on the weekend and me thinks I might make a second trek to the saturday or sunday show. Rain is in the mix somewhere's, although it didn't bother me last time LOL as us diehard airshow fiends are you know. They have the Connstellation fly around about dusk so everyone can see the exhaust flames, really cool. of course there are the afterburning fast movers to light it up as well. This airshow will probably be the last time we will be able to see F-111's as they are being retired next year. Hate to see them go!!!!
