Now then.........about the next FAA build that I'm going to do:

The result was tied between the Seafury and the Phantom.

C'mon! Lets hear your opinions............which should I get stuck into next?

Geez Louise every time I don't look at this thread for a couple of days I've got at least three pages of posts to go through Sigh [sigh].  Oh well, that'll just train me to get back more often.

Darren glad to see you got such a great haul the UK Nats. Have you decided on a scheme for that Beaufighter yet?  It's a great kit that I think would look excellent done up as a Malta defender.

Nam I hope you got my response PM and a big Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the build, I look forward to seeing your work.

Roy I like the idea of the PM and I'll let you know as soon as something arrives.

Cheers

Thanks for the very nice welcome! I really appreciate it.

I have been so used to the guitar and guitar building sites I frequent....and most of those have lost any kind of 'fun' spirit they may have had.....everyone's so damn serious.

There isn't a whole lot of difference between building guitars and building models except for the subject matter.

Both have all kinds of parts and resouces available....customizing possibilities....paint schemes....tribute subjects....you get the idea.

But I know I won't have to rent a storage locker to accomodate getting back into plastic.

 And besides......"Here There Be Monsters!"

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to our GB Nam!  I really think you'll like it here.

Darren- Thanks again for talking to the chaps at Airfix for me!  I won't hold my breath for the decals, though that would be really nice.  I am very glad to hear they switched decal companies, hopefully their Mk.I early Spit will have some good ones!

You are quite right my friend, there was no rum for breakfast-hotel rules. However, a lovely young lady brought me a shot of whiskey instead.Wink [;)]Big Smile [:D]

Darren- Nice haul, mate!  Sounds like you had a heck of a time there, wish I coulda been there!  That's a mighty large pile of loot ya' got there too!  As for the stencils, I got the wing walkways on, the trestle markings on the underside, and a couple of others on top too.  The ones I really wanted to use but couldn't are the prop blade markings and fuel capacity ones.  Did you give the Airfix guys a hard time for me? Mischief [:-,]

Frank mate,

I spoke to the top man. He was very sorry and wanted me to pass on his sincere apologies. He has asked the head of UK sales to to see if a spare sheet for the Mk.46/47 is availiable. If there is one, they will send it to me free of charge so that I may send it to you. Best I could do as the MK.46/47 kit is out of production-however they did hint at a comeback if the demand is there...........Shy [8)]

You will also be glad to hear that Airfix has changed its decal production to a different company................Wink [;)]
