Aahhh........now  we have those over here in the English McDonalds, but as tasty as it is-its not a crumpet! It has a different taste and texture from the McMuffin. I will contact the American branch of the Tango1 clan to see if they they can locate crumpets on your side of the pond.

Once you have 'em-you'll love 'em!Wink [;)]

Thanks fellas, I'm on a mission to find some now!

Darren, my vote goes to the Sea Fury.  If you go with it, I'd suggest the resin detail sets from Cutting Edge.  Really adds to the kit.

Funny you should mention that Rick-I'm picking up their exterior set at the UK 'Nats next weekend. I am going to use Airwaves P/E for the cockpit as its a little easier on my wallet.Blush [:I]

Thanks for your kind words  about my Mitchell fella's.Thumbs Up [tup] I have polished up the canopies as best as I can and it doesn't look too bad! Two of the fuselage windows popped out and I could'nt get my meat cleaver hands inside the model to fix them so I patched them with Klear. Seems to have done the trick.Thumbs Up [tup]

The other problem I had was weight.........or lack of it, in the nose section! This thing really is a tail sitter! Even with the weight I added, it still wants to sit on its tail. Disapprove [V] One advantage of having a display base is being able to glue this sucker's nose wheel down!

I just need to add some antenne wire and the aircraft is done.Thumbs Up [tup] The base won't be fully complete until some figures I ordered arrive, but I'll take some pics of the model without them so  you guys can see what I've done.Wink [;)]

Darren the B-25 is looking great, it should be an absolute pearler when it's done.

As for the next build, hmmm I'm going to stray from the pack her and go for the Airfix Bucc or the Hase Phantom.  I know the Airfix kit is a complete pig but like their Lightning F.2A/F.6, with a bit of work it can be turned into a real winner.

Cheers

Ooops! Looks like ya already posted pics, Darren! My bad! I really should learn to finish the thread before i comment.....

She lookin good! An awful lot of rust on the bottomside, but given it's tropical environment, it sounds spot on to me!

Honestly, just looking at it makes me want to reach for the steel wool and CLR...Wink [;)]

As for your next FAA build, my vote definately goes for the Sea Fury!

Bloody marvelous work on the Mitchell, mate!  You have really captured that worn, dirty look of the Pacific birds.  Can't wait to see what you build next!  (perhaps a Sea Fury) Big Smile [:D]

Like I said way back, we go to Germany every other year and this time my wife wants to spend some time in England.  Perhaps we can meet in a central location (to protect the workshops where abouts Whistling [:-^])

Totally Sign - Off Topic!! [#offtopic] but what the heck-you lot are used to me by now!!

I have had the most wonderful day just plodding along in my workshop and somehow after lots of tea, red wine and unspeakable swearing i have managed to get an awful lot of work done on my B-25. It has occurred to me that this is the first US Bomber that I've ever built.......lord knows what my American mates will make of it-I hope it will look half decent when I show you some pics.Blush [:I]

I don't know where the time has gone on this one-I am doing two other group builds as well as scheming another  FAA build!!

So where should I go next ?

In early production we have:

1/32 Neiuport 17-WWI GB

1/48 F-117-Lockheed GB

and well........I need to fly navy!! Soooooo............

You get to choose my next FAA build!

Should I build:

1/48 Hasegawa RN Phantom FG.1?

1/48 Airfix RN S.2 Buccaneer?

1/48 Airfix RN Sea Harrier FA.2?

1/48 Hobbycraft RN Hawker Sea Fury?

What do you think?

Kit with the most votes after obe week wins!

Darren old chap I have to go with the Phantom, big and powerfulTongue [:P]

Mmmmm... Texas Toast!  Excellent as a sandwich bread, or on the side of Spaghetti.   Thickly sliced, buttered fresh bread with a bit of garlic.  Yummy!

As for the accent, you would probably say the same thing 'bout us.  Isn't XXXX XXXXXXXXXX (didn't want to give away the Secret Workshop's location) known for thick accents?
