Darren the Corsair is looking great; it should be awesome once you've finished it up.

Frank your hobby cave is enormous, just think of the stash that will fit in there Shock [:O]Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]

Bob aside from what has already been stated on pre-painted PE, the only other thing I do is apply a weak wash of raw umber to the harnesses to blend them into the rest of the front office.  I find that they tend to look just to "new" otherwise.

Cheers

Bob, I'll agree with Darren & Rick...that's the best way to go. This way, you only have to paint once.

Cool pic, Frank! I can honestly say that I've stood in that very same spot at least 3 times. Wink [;)]

Here's the wife and I on the Intrepid a few years ago....

Rick & Darren-thanks for the advice on the PE.  Based on the quality of your work, I'm going to follow your advice.

My girlfriend and I went there last year, and she had a good time... well, at least for the first 3 hours.  The next three I could tell she was ready to go, but she didn't complain and let me "play." Propeller [8-]

Question for the resident experts-when doing pre-painted PE for the interior that requires filing/sanding of the plastic part that it attaches to, do you sand/file, then paint and then attach PE or paint the part, file/sand and then attach PE?

Thanks

Roy-

Oh, well.  If you are ever in the area, look me up!  And if anyone decides to go to the EAA fly-in next month, I am only two hours south of there.  I also have a line on free unlimited pass week-long tickets!

Frank, I did check out the route on Mapquest.  I will be leaving Wyoming heading towards Ft Knox, KY to visit my brother and then on to FL.  Your place would be out of the way Sad [:(] as it is its 1700+ miles and 26+ hours for me.

I have got all the decals on now and have given them a nice dose of Micro-sol.  I have most of today to myself so I'll be working on the F-15 as well.

I'm going to do a little on-line shopping too, I worked Censored [censored] hard last month, so I'm going to treat myself at the online LHS.Big Smile [:D]

Frank, looks like you have enough room there to do some 1:1 modeling on a spitfire in there.  Good luck on the move.

Frank-nice place to work.

Darren-the Corsair looks great!

I looked at my Hellcat & decals a bit this evening.  At my current rate of production with other builds in progress, I should get started on it late June/early July.

Scott, Leon-

Thanks!  I am really excited to have about 700 sq ft (off of the room there is a HUGE workshop with built-in bench!) for modeling.

Leon, you're right about the carpet monster!  My old shop had hardwood floors, so a quick sweep usually located missing parts.  Now, I have shag carpets!  Oh well, small price to pay for all of the room!

Darren, The corsair looks great. You are almost there on another one. Good job.

Frank, Wow, you are one lucky guy. Will you also display all of your built ones there? Only one thing, watch out for the carpet monster - he has a huge amount of habitat there...Wink [;)]
