It is looking real good mucker.  The gaps on the wingroots seem to match the ones I had on my Stuka!Laugh [(-D] The problem I am having right now is that I am trying to mask the splinter scheme with masking tape and there is always one part that messes up.Banged Head [banghead]  I have painted and repainted and now I am going to take it all off and try again, I have a long day ahead of me.Sigh [sigh]Sad [:(]Ashamed [*^_^*]

Well komeraden, I'm moving along slowly. I have my decals, but haven't picked up the paint yet. I'v decided on the desert scheme, which is the middle selection on the decal sheet in the first pic.

You guys were dead on about the wing root gaps. There were some MAJOR seams to fill there. The pics show the first stage...one more round of putty will hopefully do it.

I was afraid of that.  You have a nice steady hand.  maybe I should try putting weights on my wrist, I already tried the 10/0 brush and it moves too much!  Oops [oops]

i painted the stick rlm 72 then painted on the yellow freehand then used

a 10/0 pointed brush for the black strapping on the handle.

  if you want permission for a test flight.... the answer is "no".

Work on the He 111 is stalled at the moment as I wait...and wait... and wait  for the Eduard masks to come in from Roll Models.  No way I am trying to mask that thing with tapeConfused [%-)]

Hey Invert...tough one there...but at least the pits are in good shape....good save... I would have thorwn it against the wall or off my 4th floor balcony...

 looks like your breather might be a struggle too...just hang in there...

hey guys,

went to the hobby shop tonight and ordered a new condor kit.

i was able to salvage the cockpit and gunners station.

there was nothing wrong with them so i will put them into the new fuse.

i opened up the hs123 kit.

man,this kit needs some help.

flash is present on all the parts,locating pins molded incorrectly.

parts fit is not that good in this kit.

oh well,i will get through it.

Ouch!  Sorry to hear about the loss of that Condor.  I too have exercised my freedom of speech on many occasions, as recently as last night when I somehow managed to get more glue on my fingers than on the wings of my 217.

hey all,

some great looking builds so far guys,except mine.

had a major disaster with the condor last night.

i was in the process of joining the fuse together after a battle

with the cockpit. it seemed that the cockpit floor was too wide and left a nasty gap

in the front of the fuse. thats what i get for not test fitting it in place before i started

building it.

anyway,i was gluing the fuse together and dumped about half of my bottle of pro weld

onto the bench,witch ran under the fuse.

needless to say,while i was excersizing my freedom of speech,i dropped it onto the carpet

and gave it a nice textured effect!!

i think its going in the trash.

have to get another kit.

but i think the pits are salvageable.

going to the hobby shop tonight.

i think im going to start the hs123 till i cool down.lol.

Dave... actually only 1 putty.  The fuselage seems are all Tamiya putty.  The green under hte engine is from a green felt tip marker. I had heard of people using a black marker to highlight a seam to show any iperfection.... like a primer would.  I didn't have a black one but the green worked pretty well.  Most of it is sanded off.  I am wonering though about it bleeding through the paint.  Haven't heard it happening with black so I hoping that the green won't either.

Thanks for all the comments from everyone!  Last night and tonight I managed to get the fuselage together and starting attaching the wings to the 217, no pictures yet.  I must say that this kit is seemingly falling together almost like a Tamiya.  The only fit issue I've had is with the IP causing a problem in connecting the front upper fuselage properly but it's nothing that a little filler won't handle. 

I normally don't do more than one kit at a time, but I've advanced as far as I can with the 88 so I figured I'd start the 217.  I'll get both to approximately the same point in construction before I start the painting process.  My plan is to do pre-shading before laying down the exterior colors.  The big reason for this plan is that I ordered canopy masks from Roll Models (Squadron was out of stock on the 88, unfortunately, and I couldn't find both anywhere else when I was looking).  Of course after ordering the masks I got an email stating that the masks would not even be delivered for at least two weeks.  Ack!

Any way, great work everyone.  I really like the He111 and would consider getting one myself except that I already have one hanging from my ceiling.  Can't justify multiples of the same bird to my wife.Smile [:)]

Looking good Wingnut and Aggieman! Something I'm curious about, Wingnut.  It appears that you have two types of filler used there, if I'm seeing it right.  I looks like squadron green on the bottoms of the engines, but white stuff elsewhere.  Just wonderin what your using and why the different ones.  I'm always interested in other peoples techinques and why they use them.  

I'm a one model at a time builder, unfortunately.  As soon as I finish that B-17G for the R/M GB, I'll get to work on my Ju-88C for this GB.

Marc, that gap looks all too familiar!  I built that kit a couple of years ago and I still remember that gap. Disapprove [V]  The rest of the kit build is pretty straight forward though.  Yours is looking good. Thumbs Up [tup]

Nice goingthere Aggie...lookin' good.

 

Got the airframe buttoned up.  The fit is really great as it typical of the Hasegawa stuff EXCEPT for the gap inthe wing root onthe underside.  Shims took care of that.

The LG is together.... cleaning all the mold gates was a chore, and the Future on the canpoy is curing as we speak.... err... type.  But I have to wait for thr Eduards mask to come in... not going to try to mask this one.  Not enough hair on my head ot pull out.

Aggie...nice looking pit there...thats going to be my next build...keep us updated on how your progress goes. Are all the pit parts resin?

Been working on the 177 but not too much progress...looks like some fit and closing problems ahead with the fuselage close coming up.   see how far I get this week...lots of work and travel time ahead taking up most of my build time..oh well we will see.

say invertman  i just checked out the 3 updates available for our condors

all by  edward  great models has them for 18-19 each. they seem to be the only people at the moment

 the int set (i think ) is not work it because 1 the int is good in this model  and 2 not enough will be seen to warrant the almost 20 bucks.

but the wing flaps are nice and the ext set hat the right antennaes the plastic with the kits is way too thick

More progress today on the Do217.  Essentially completed the office.

Has anyone built this kit who can share with me their experience with it?  I've dry fitted the cockpit into the fuselage and tried putting the other half on but have noticed some severe fit issues.  I'm wondering if I've done something horribly wrong.

I would like to enter in a He-111, I found one in my local hobby shop.  This ones comes with a V-1.  It costed 38.00$, and is in 1/48 scale.  I started on the three crew men, just glueing them together.
