David, count me in!!!  All of the pictures look good to me but numbers 4 and 5 stick out the most.

Or, extend the end date until August 15, another month which would make it a year and one month and it also coincides with VJ day.

Or, how about making this an open ended GB like the Spitfire one so nobodys rushing. So, if everyone who is in could just post that they are in then I'll make a list. And include with your post that your in the picture that you like best for the GB badge. So for choices of pictures we have:

1 is my first one

2 is the secong one

3 is my third one

4 is the Putt Putt Maru

5 is the one of the Yamato mission

Thanks Dave. I knew we could count on some help from a forum member. Do you plan on joining the build or just helping us out with the logo. We would love to have you along for the ride.

I'd be glad to help with the banner.  After we decide on a picture I can add the text.

The start date sounds good to me David. Mabye we can recruit someone to make the banner for us. I am sure someone would help us if we asked. When we get a member list we can have them vote on the picture. Here are a couple I have that might work .

Heres 3 GB badge ideas. I'm not sure how to write the words on without the white word box on it.

I'll make one but I'd be more than happy if some other people made some others.

edit>soulcrusher, I think we'll wait until FRiday and then I'll make a list of those who are going to participate. Hopefully by then I'll have figured out how to make better GB logos or someone has designed one. I was thinking of allowing all scales but still keep the NO AM rule. For start dates I was thinking July 15 to July 15 2007.

I think the more open the more people might participate. Trying to complete a 1/32 scale p-38 would be a huge time consuming project though I'm sure someone will take it on. Plus it lets people build what they already have in there stash. Lets face it a P-38 in any scale is alot of work. Should we wait till the end of the week and then take a head count and let those counted weight in on there opinions of the earlier questions. What do you think? Is there anyone here already commited that can design a logo for us? What do you think David?

SO do you all think that everyone should be building the same kit or to allow all kits in all scales?

David, as foreman of the Lockheed GB, I'd be more than willing to do the same. Thumbs Up [tup]

David, normally I would be all over this GB but I'm up to my eyeballs in builds right now (7 on the go Confused [%-)]). If it is later in the year there is also a Lockheed Gb proposed then and I would love to do a P-38 for that so I would gladly particpate in both if that is allowed.

P-38 GB
Posted by ww2modeler on Saturday, June 30, 2007 12:49 PM

Hi all, this is the same thing as in the A/C forum. This would be a P-38 GB designed to keep costs to the minimum so only OOB and no AM sets. only the kit and scratchbuilt stuff. The scales and start and end dates are yet to be posted. SO let us know if your interested.

Heres a Link provided by Screaminhelo, great reference site for P-38 builders.

Another link by soulcrusher, great haze paint diagram for F4 and F5 phto recon birds.

And another submitted by Preston:

edit> Don't forget that if your in this GB, you can join the Lockheed GB as both of us have agreed on allowing crosovers from here!!!
