Thanks for the kind words guys - I'm glad you liked Rudolf.  It was a blast to build.  I've gotta credit whoever came up up with the name for the group build (Jon ?).  I spent some time thinking "Rudolf's Revenge ? - What does Rudolf have to be vengeful about - the name calling thing ?  And what does that have to do with this build ?".

Then when I noticed some people seemed to be ready to cave in on the issue of waiting till Christmas (shame on them !) it hit me like a ton-o-bricks.  The idea just got stuck in my head and I figured it had to be done.  I had all the ingredients - the P-40 shark mouth in a Dark Earth / Tan Desert scheme, the ski's left over from a Gloster Gladiator the didn't get built in the Finnish scheme, and an idea for making antlers out of stretched sprue.  (Dark Earth is very close to SS33657 which is the winter scheme topside color for Reindeer)

One of the hardest parts was finding enuf different tail codes to make the 122507.  I'm still a little disappointed that I couldn't find ANY yellow sevens or zeros (!)  They had to be done in Black.  My explanation is that santa has to update them every year and he ran out of yellow paint.  That's my story - and you're stuck with it !

I'm not sure how much I'll be online in the next few days - so if I don't get back before the 25th     Merry Christmas to all !

Awesome job.  Santa looks well protected this year.  Looks like Santa was on weight watchers, a little thin.

Won't be long now and the little brightly wrapped parcels that so adorn the tree, will be carefully disected so the paper can be reused, recycled.  Not, it will be a mad dash, grab, paper flying.  I can imagine the eyes bulging, screams of joy, woo hoo, just what I wanted. Back off kids this one's mine, find your own.

Just trying to calm everyone down.  Sign - Oops [#oops] I think I inadvertantly stirred the pot a little more. HeHeHe Laugh [(-D]

Looks like you guys and gal need a diversion - or a more vengeful Rudolf.  This isn't Gene Autry's kinder, gentler, mamsy pamsy, milktoast Rudolf that got picked on by Reindeer with names like Prancer.   This is the butt kickin', name takin', Rudolf that doesn't put up with yer whinin' an cryin' about how many more days you gotta wait.

That is too cool, Bossman!! Great build!! Merry Christmas, again, to you and ALL on this build and this site!!!

Ahhhh but I know what's under the tree for him and payback,....as they say, is a mu.......well it stinks.

As much as I want to tear into that nicely wrapped package, some things are taking a more important place in my life than modeling, sad as that is to say. My oldest son will be coming home from Afghanistan in 29 days. At least that's what it is today. The way they keep moving his DEROS date around I'm never sure. Is it too obvious how pumped up I am for that? Or, for that matter how proud of him I am? I think not! Even though he won't be here physically for Christmas and a big part of it will be missing, he will be with us, in our hearts and minds.

Merry Christmas to all of you out there and I hope you all have a very safe and happy New Year as well.

As Papa-John said. Tell him thanks from me, too. I tell my son that every chance I get.

Now, as to the SS gift and your oldest no going to be home in time for Christmas? You COULD wait until he gets home to open all your presents! Tongue [:P]

Freddie

I presume that your oldest son maybe in a branch of the Military Service (if I am interpreting this correctly).  Wish your family the best in the festive season, also to your oldest son and his Unit.  It is dedicated people like your son and all the others, that make it possible for us to enjoy the freedom we have today.  Without them, we may not be in a position to enjoy a free society the way we do.  A big salute to him and a toast to all Make a Toast [#toast].  In fact a toast to all the Nations that are keeping us safe and free.

I can not say enough, but you know what I mean.  I am a man of simple words, never could get a handle on large fancy words.

Merry Christmas to all in the GB.

I had a nice visitor today : The Santa stopped at my house and delivered a Priority Mail package ... it was an ebay score - MS406 from Classic Airframes - long time out of production kit with resin cockpit. Nice !

The Mailwoman was dressed as a Santa Smile [:)] it was nice !! but ... my wife said - "this package is going under the tree" ... OUCH ....  it was not so nice Evil [}:)]

Whistling [:-^] Days are dwindling.  By now everyone is calm, cool, collected.  Not.Laugh [(-D].  Thought I heard packages from around the world shaking, calling out everyone's name in a muffled tone from under the trees.  Don't touch, they are wired. Can't be defused until one second after midnight on the oh you know what I mean.
