Nice work on your Me 410 Dave!  Great job on the mottling.  Cool [8D] Thumbs Up [tup] Thumbs Up [tup]

I've been on a big armor kick lately, but my Me 410 is still out in my staging area. I hope to get motivated to finish it soon.

Thats just great Dave. Is that the secret thinner sauce in the bottle on the left?

Really looking forward to seeing the unmask, and if you get a chance post the box top.

Hmmm... not sure what you are refering to, the superglue or the mug?  The mug is actually the baby size A&W root beer mug. Make a Toast [#toast]

As for thebox top here's the grand opening shot on Christmas day

I'm doing a version off the decal sheet that Bud included with the kit.

Your pic prompted me to go back up the thread. A good place to start is at page 18. That was a very happy day, and it's a real lift, at least IMHO, to read through that again.

On the topic, thank you again JWB for being the gracious host and yeah you look pretty Gumby, but it's a big heart that beats in that sunken chest. Thanks again.

Hello all,
Just popped in while having a 'paint dry' break to catch up on how all you are getting on.
Quite amazing work going on in here Smile [:)] Thanks for all the pics you are posting too, getting a lot of good ideas seeing them. The interior work on all the models is brilliant, wish my hands were as steady LOL Big Smile [:D]
Well done everyone, so good to see so many different aircraft too, a much better GB idea.
All the best,
Mick C.

Decals are on!  They are from an Aeromaster set and they went down beautifully.  Thumbs Up [tup]  I added some of the stencils from the kit decals and they performed well too.  The only hiccup I had this weekend was when I was test fitting the landing gear I pressed too hard and the plate inside the wheel well that they sit in popped off... Banged Head [banghead]  so if you are wondering why that toothpick is attached to the underside, I superglued it to the hole in the plate for the landing gear and used it to move it back into position.  I was able to get some more glue onto it and hopefully it will hold!

No, thats the FstDFL.A.92 deguassed feiningstoffinindentenfaustler, which production was halted by a shortage of American Box Alder that had been previously salvaged from shipping crates of Bourbon to Norway. Oh never mind but it's on Wiki, I think.

Nicest a/c and I'm never gonna get to mine till TLP chimes back in. Hear me, Chris???

Whew, I finally get to start on this group build.  I'm still embroiled with the P-40 group build where I'm doing 5 P-40s at the same time, but after 4 months of looking at nothing but Warhawks (and believe me, that's one of my favorites), it's time to start looking at something else.

Dave gave me the Italeri 1/48 Spitfire Mk. XVIe, many thanks Dave!  Looks like a nice kit.  I'm not going to do a lot of additional work on this as I normally would, perhaps I'll limit myself to a bit of wiring in the cockpit.  Plus I'm going to have to build it wheels-up to hang as I am running out of shelf space.

So today I'm taking a sick day (really not sick, but I have dental surgery scheduled for later today), but I'm taking advantage of the time off.  Did some work on the P-40s then got started on this group build and the Classic Kits group build (Monogram F4U Corsair).  Basically this morning I put down the RAF interior green color on all the interior surfaces, then called it a morning.  Here's my single picture of my limited progress.

I'm planning this to be a quick weekend build so hopefully in the next couple of weekends, er, well, daughter's birthday, yard work, home remodeling projects, family time .....

Wow !

Some spectacular work on such a wide variety of A/C.  I'm diggin this.

Mist - Looking forward to seeing Val unveiled.(masks removed)   Looks great so far.

Klaus - The detail in the pit is really impressive.

Max - likin' the paint job & pit work on the dauntless.  That's a sweet kit - and you're really nailing it.

Dave - the airbrushed camo on the 410 turned out great.  It has alot of similarities to a Mosquito - but a much more interesting Paint scheme.

Zip - That P-39 is coming together nicely.  Nice detailing in the pit too.

Aggie - good to see another one started !

Here's a picture update on my pair-o-builds:

I hear ya, tell ya what. Maybe some inspiration is what I need, I have been so stressed about making this house safe for the soon to be crawling baby any free time I have had is on the overhaul of the home. Plus my dad just decided his son should not be watching hockey games is standard def, so he just out of the blue sent me a confirmation of purchase for a 32in HD LCD TV, all the pretty colors have me hypnotized. Get that badboy started bondo, you guys will see some progress out of me real soon. Gonna hit some airbrush this weekend on the F-14 and get some more interior done on the P-61. And excellent work so far everyone!

Glad to hear everything is well TLP.  If you think it's bad when they start crawling wait till they start climbing!!!  Nothing will be sacred at that point. Wink [;)]

Oh and do you think your Dad would adopt me!!! Big Smile [:D]

Great aircraft you have there Chris!
Love that NMF Mustang!

Here's this weekend's progress:

The floater is not glued in place, since painting will be easier that way.

I'm finally getting started on this build myself. Just tonight I started the cockpit of Eduards Profipac P-39. Lots of tiny PE in the cockpit. Will post some pics once I'v emade progress worth seeing.

Ok, first progress. The PE is taking as long as the entire remainder of the kit.
