Dupes, while the 1/35 Hind would be very tempting to vote on, I'd need to see what else is on the list before commiting. Wink [;)]Whistling [:-^]

See? Arki's in the "other" 8%. Laugh [(-D] Rest assured there's nothing nearly as 'exotic' as the Hind in my stash. Lot of 'standard' aircraft, and a mountain of armor.

Speaking of exotic, I haven't been around modeling long enough to be exposed to some of the older more dubious kits out there....what the hell IS the dreaded SNOWBERRY? Eight Ball [8]

SNOWBERRY!  SNOWBERRY!

I'm surprised you still have Lindberg kits in the stash!  You didn't toss them out and say to heck with 'em?  Big Smile [:D]

I don't have any more, but silly me: I'm actually thinking about buying one!  Their old 1/48 scale XFY-1 "Pogo" looks like a sweet kit, and they are really cheap on ebay.  If I get one before the vote, I suppose I will be obliged to put it on the list (as my stash has less than 15 kits)

http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/portland/971/Reviews/50s/xfy-1-pogo_48.htm

As for tossing out bad kits, I have a personal rule: if it's in my stash, i have to build it!  It helps to keep me careful that I only buy kits that I really really want to build.

Oh... maybe just a little. Whistling [:-^]

Tamiya Corsair $10

Academy Me 262A $10

Hasegawa Me 262B $10

Hasegawa Mosquito Mk. IV $10

Academy Ambulance and Tow Tractor $10

Revell T34/85 $5

MPM Boulton Paul Defiant Mk. II $15

(all 1/72 scale)

Plus I also picked up a Verlinden detail set for the P-47 and a couple of decal sheets for the Me 262 and the Mosquito.

My goal this year was to build more kits than I bought.  I was doing so well up until the show. Oh well, I better get crackin'.

I also entered 3 models and took two first place in their categories.  Very unexpected!

Thanks Bear, at first glance the Bolton Paul looks pretty good.  The clear parts look decent and it even has a little PE fret as well.  I haven't studied it extensively though as the wife has commadeered them for Birthday and Christmas presents. Sad [:(]

Dave  Thanks for that quick overview.  I feel your pain I hate when a kit disapears without having had a chance to realy smell the styreenSmile [:)]. At least your birthday is'nt to far away if my memory serves me right (early November right) to get your paws on one of them :)

Man - I hope I can go to an IPMS show someday.  That must be awesome for inspiration and ideas.

I sure hope my wifey doesn't ever learn that present trick!

My stash is about to grow by 2 kits, but they will be one build.  I just bought a 1/200 hasegawa 747-200 and a 1/200 space shuttle to make the NASA 747+STS stack.

IL2, Bear, I forgot to mention that I posted a few pics in the General Discusion area of the forums.

IL2, that sounds like an awesome project.  Is it up for vote on IMS3?

Hey, thanks guys! Big Smile [:D]

Who woulda thunk I'd be winning aircraft categories...does this mean I should delete all of the armor from my IMS3 list? Shock [:O]
