My badBlush [:I]. I had never heard that one before.  My brain is functioning just fine at 30,000 feet. It wouldn't be if it was stuck in a stuffy, smelly, hot tank though...Laugh [(-D]

Sorry for name confusion >_>

Heh, I hope not the luftwaffe will go into the pacific :o

Andl, I've always been into more German and British things...

Well, I made another order yesterday, just full of cheap kits and 3 paintpots. As usual, ordering from the UK and avoiding the darn costumes.. Err, customs..   This order was intended to fill the stash.. or, get a stash.. And to try new manufacturers. The two new ones were Zvezda (I love saying that name! Laugh [(-D] ) and Pavla Models.

What I ended up with for less than 40$ was all this:

1x Dragon 1/144 Tank carrying car with Panzer 38T and railway flatbed

1x Zvezda 1/72 IL-2M

1x Tamiya 1/100 Me262A & Me163B (50% off Smile [:)] )

1x Pavla models 1/35 Russian AT rifle PTD 14.5mm (It was so cheap...)

1x Revell 1/76 Churchill A.V.R.E. (30% off Smile [:)]

3x Paintpots...

so finally something russian, british and German... Those are the three major nations in WWII I fancy the most.. Germany and British first.. probably German at top.. :)

You want me to keep posting my work here, or shall I leave you in a picture peace? Laugh [(-D]

Tell me about it... The power was out for about 5 hours yesterday and it went out at my hockey practise. That was funny.

I'd like to change my entry again to IJN Kyokuto Maru as she has a far better chance of being finished by August 1st than Aludra.

I got most of the bodywork done on the Chally and should be able to paint it this weekend! I'm planning on making it look like a vehicle that the British used to train on here in Canada at BATUS(British Army Training Unit Suffield) in Alberta back in the 90's.

On a downside however, still waiting for those blasted tracksSign - Dots [#dots]

huzzah!  another finished build!

Looks really good raider!  My only beef is that your figure looks a little lifeless.  but don't worry, its something everyone works on.

I'm very impressed by the checkered scheme.  were those ALL decals?

Bravo

Thamks taco.  Yeah my figgies aren't so good, but its really just their faces that are bad.  I sprayed it white and then put individual red decals cut from the supplied sheet.  A PITA for sure, but I think it turned out well

Sorry i have not been on in a few days. If you need great facial colors try Vallejo, it is superior to any Tamiya or oil paint. The jeep looks awesome though. Your figgie looks lioke a skeloton Though.

Update on my KT.

befor the PE hulls are not glued together.

after I glued the PE and the hulls are glued together.

I have painted all the weels and weathed half of them

It's funny that on the kits box art it shows a wire leeding to the headlight but there is'nt one in the kit or in the PE set I bought for it so I had to make one myself

Stick man, i hate to be the bringer of bad news but AFV road wheels painted in camo like how you did stands out very well on the front but where its a Kt you shoudnt have any problems from the shermansAlien [alien]

yes, but they were painted.  Most, probably if not all, KT's were camo'd even the wheels.  How are you going to do your zim?

Nice porsche, what kit/manufacturer?  I'm building one for the Big Cats GB.

Taco... no zim for me I could'nt buy eny and my putty atemps where terible and the sodering iran tequniqu scares me but I'm going to practice more zim tequniqus but not on this build because some of the porshe KT where zim less. Got this pic from my main refrance book TANKS by George Forty it also has camo on the weels.

The kit is Tamiya 35169*3900 (I wonder what the star in the middle is) and a Lion Roar PE set.

the star probably stands for different kit parts in the same box.  your KT kit might have Kit 'X' parts aswell.

Or, alternatively, I'm completely wrong, and Tamiya just likes stars.

Anywho, unfortunately, since only 50 porsche turrets types were produced, every one would have zim.  BUT, don't worry about it.  I didn't put zim on mine, i don't think it's a big deal, just build for fun.

Remember, all of you:  This is our art medium.  While others use pen and paper, we use paint and plastic.  Therefore, we are all given a little artistic license when it comes to finishing the final product.

And that, dear modelers, is TacoBuff's deep thought for the day.

Taco...we've got porshe's #51 and #52 the zim less ones that no one kew about exept the enamies thay destroyed (but no one kew thay existed so Shhhh!)...Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

I'm sorta kinda but not to much base my paint patern on the one in the pic I posted but do eny of you guys know where KT's with that patern served so I can find unit emblems and tank numbers from that regin.
