Well I've been at the Cottage the last 2 weeks and got a TON of work done on my Chally, In fact, it's done!
*BEWARE DIAL-UP USERS**LOTS O' PICS!*
These are also the first three figures I've ever done, the Loader and TC I 'borrowed' from my Challenger 2 kit that I built last year, and the driver is one I just did, sorta gives a little bit of a snapshot of the progress I've made in figures since reading HermesMiniatures' excellent tutorial over in the "Figures" forum:
Without figures:
And one without the upper hull to showoff the Friul's:
Boy did alot of work go into this one! I cut off over 80 solid plastic grab handles and replaced them all with wire substitutes. I coated all horizontal surfaces in Krylon "textured" spray paint to simulate the anti-slip surface. I assembled around 180 Friul links and painted those anoying rubber pads along with adding a couple hundred little "knicks". Hand painted the all the signs that are numbered "42". Drilled out the solid plastic headlights then painted them silver and filled them with white glue. I used a bunch of stowage from Tamiya's modern stowage set, and I made all of the tarps from Kleenex's soaked in white glue and water.
I'll be making another thread for it over in Armor.
Thanks for looking!
